• Beo6 change default settings?

I have finally got my Beo6 running after updating with CT 6.84. I have used the Beo5/6 configuration guide on this site to make some simple tweaks and it has really been a great help. However, I would like to make some additional changes to the remote, if that is possible: - Change the default N.Music page (with the three covers and “Album”, “Artist”) to also include “Cover”, “Tracks” (part of the Beomaster5 setup) and “Genre”. - Is it possible
I have a wifi router setup on the same network as Beomaster5, just for the Beo6 to connect to
Can you share a little bit about this set-up. What have you done to create a Beomaster only connection? Is it a separate, physical router?

No, I have not tried the CT . I was told by my dealer that when it is a “one-to-one” set-up, I could do that directly from Beo6. But maybe that is not correct? (I’m used to Mac and do not own a Windows computer)

Noone? I`ve really tried to get it to work but I’m stuck. My Beo6 does not communicate with BM5☹️

  • Connecting Beo6 to Beomaster5 #2

I have now got my Beo6 up and running with another charger from my dealer. However, I cannot get it to operate my Beomaster5. The IR commands seem to work, but there is no two-way connection (no covers) when I choose the “Standard” scene I get what looks like a default set-up and I cannot interact with Beomaster5 Beo6 is connected to the same WiFi network as the Beomaster5 and they seem to be on the same subnet: Beo6 IP: 192.168.0.xxx server IP (Beomaster): 192.168.0.xx The Beo6 is wireless

  • Connecting Beo6 to BM5

I have without success tried to connect a second-hand Beo6 to my BM5. I can connect the remote to WIFI and both IP adresses appear in setup info on Beo6. Unfortunately, the remote will not charge, so after a couple of hours the remote died and I`m returning it to my dealer. Hopefully, it will be up and running again, but as my first experience with Beo6 was not the best and I want to prepare for when I get it back, I would like to know the following: It`s a second-hand remote and has been configured

I’m trying this out as well, currently copying the original hdd to a Sandisk SSD using an offline clone device. Any idea how long time the cloning process will take?

  • Re: Opening Beomaster 5

You solved this? I have just done the same. Remove the eight screws on the bottom and gently but firmly remove interior from frame.

Cloning lasted about 4 hours. Installed and running in no time at all. This upgrade is definitely worth the time and money. Reading through forums here has been a great help. Thanks to all.
