• Re: BeoPlay A3 iPad Dock
Why would you like to make the iPad bigger?
My guess is that you won't be using your iPad as an iPad after that, but only as a sort of mini TV or media receiver. It is one of the only "dock" that allows you to place the iPad in portrait mode on a table and watch a movie... with a better sound.

  • Re: B&O Play TV coming this quarter
Could someone please explain what is the actual point of designing a flat panel tv , then putting it at an angle with the tubular frame and using as much depth as a crt
There is a vertical stand, and you can hang it flat on the wall if you want. I has for many years a MX that was on the floor but tilted. This is a great position for a TV. This viewing angle is very relaxing for the eye. If you position the tv low, having it tilted makes perfect sense.
Do you imagine the BeoPlay TV will be easily enough integrated with my current setup of a BeoSound 3000, BeoLab 6000 and BeoLab 2? Obviously there is no masterlink, but that shouldn't be a problem right... the two can both output to the speakers somehow?
This TV will not really work in a masterlink setup. It is a standalone product.
reminds me somehow of the smaller MX's when on the floor
Exactly, the dealer had an old MX on sale and he pointed out jokingly that the V1 was the new version of this! The MX indeed had this chrome wires underneath that allowed you to tilt the TV. There is apparently another stand that allow you to have the TV vertical.
can I easily integrate my beolab 8000 and beocenter 2 with the TV? Desperately looking for a replacement for my old beovision 6...
The Beolab 8000 yes, but not the Beocenter 2. It isn't a TV for people who already own B&O, as it doesn't integrate/ink with the existing products, except speakers. It is aimed at new customers. A small BV10 is what you're after.

Not boring at all. I didn't like the leaked pics that much but in reality this TV has some character and looks different. It doesn't look like a beovision, doesn't look like a copy of loewe, and doesn't look like a cheap plastic TV. I was in a Tv shop this weekend, and I saw plenty of plastic kikinoko TVs. One will like this v1 or not, this is a matter of taste. But it is certainly not boring.
Not to keen on the Ir eye
The IR eye is more discreet on the back version of course, but very visible on the white version. The paint seems of a better quality in the Black version as well. Optional speaker cover will allow you to add colour, like for the BV10, but they are not necessary. Also, it was said on one of the thread you could easily customise it with your own fabric! An interesting idea to improve the WAF!

It was on a table stand which is also made of an chrome tube. Looked good to me, presented on a white lacquered console, but everything is a mater of taste. What is clear to me is that unlike the beovision 10 that is perceived as a beautiful Tv by most, the V1 will be more polarising. Some people will love it and some people won't. But the feature set is interesting, the price point is almost OK, and I think it is a great addition to the range. It will sell.

  • Re: Beolit 12 review in MacUser

Saw a demo of the Beolit 12 at Harrodsburg the other day. The shop floor was huge, it had a very large B&O corner, a large Loewe corner and more luxury brands. Music was playing loud and was filling the whole floor. It is only when I go close to the Beolit that I realised the music was coming from this tiny box. Very impressed! And typical B&O sound as well.
