• Home Setup Upgrade - Advise needed

After a loooong time i am back as a poster in my beloved Beoworld (Proud to be one of the 500 founding members ) I always believe that here i can find more accurate answers than my dealer in Greece. After 14 years my BV7-32 is still going strong and i am really happy with my setup, Of course times have changed and bigger, more modern screens are somehow essential for a more joyful experience. My home is MASTERLINKED so all other rooms have Bolink Passives, controled via IR.s and BEO4. I attach a

  • Re: Beo 7 40" - HDMI and Apple TV problem
How do you switch between Sky and Apple TV when they are going through one port
By pressing the button on the HDMI splitter. Of course you have to assign via your BV7-40 Connections MENU the different sources. For example: SKY (V.MEM) and ATV (V.AUX). And yes, your TV has to be software and hardware updates for PCM sound (not so expensive upgrade). My answer is that it is possible EASILY to do it. I have done it also and many others in the forum

Solution is simple. 1) Buy a splitter like this: http://www.azcotechnologies.com/azhdmis13------hdmi--1x3-switcher/product/47/3/ 2) Use an optical to digital audio convertor like this: http://www.atlona.com/Atlona-Optical-Digital-Coaxial-2-Way-Converter.html Thats all.

  • Re: What's the BEST product in the B&O line-up

Hands down BV11. Seems like the most up-to-date effort of B&O in comparison to competition out there.

  • Re: Beolab 8000 + beolab 11?
Some years ago I rented a Beolab 2 for test purposes from my dealer. For movies (Speaker 5) I had very much fun with this big and powerful subwoofer (also because my neighboors are far away). But listening to music (Speaker 2) with the BL 2 was a real horror ("Boom-boom").
I am always wondering on this boom-boom issue that keeps recycling by some fellow beoworlder's on BL2. First of all it is a matter of proper placement and size of the room

  • Re: Can't get Dolby Digital 5.1 on Beovision 7 32

Dear all. In BV 7-32 (maybe also in 7-40), the built-in DVD shows always Dolby Digital 3 / 2.1 CH. That means 5.1. It means 3 channels in the front, 2 at the rear and one LFE channel (subwoofer).

  • Re: Beovision 7 32" Strange Screen Problem...*Please HELP!!*

I have the exact same problem since many years. I have a BV7-32 MK II. No one has a solution. Not in the old forum, nor the dealers and service departments. This happens only on DTV which triggers my inbuilt DVB-S. I changed the DVB-S and still there. Restarting is a solution and in my case sometimes changing the modules between the 2 available slots of the BV7. You are the first one that has stated this, so it must be a glitch in our sets. If you find a solution by accident, please post it here

  • Re: Beovision 7 MKII Picture Quality

As i have been there some years ago i would suggest you do the step if you are not willing to change your B&O TV in the near future. An HD-KIT is installed on your BV and then you can use your DVI-I soccket with HDMI-DVI adapter. The quality of the picture improves drastically even on 32'' on HD broadcast content and on Blurays. It is more than worth doing it, IF you are not willing to spend some thousands on a new B&O TV set.
