• Re: Disappointed With Music On B&O System

Agree with Evan - start with just the 8000's, forget the BL2 and the 6000's (also make sure the option settings are for "fronts only" to ensure the 8000's receive the full bandwidth audio signal). Try and get a reasonable sound on the 8000's in stereo and then you can assess the contribution of the other speakers and whether they add or detract from the basic stereo setup. Personally I don't believe in listening to stereo music using four speaker setups, stereo was never
Nice choice Soren When I was young and had no taste (as opposed to now, when I am old and have not taste) this was one of my favourite album covers (I think I was "sixteen going on seventeen" as the time, and because of Government censorship my LP had a a black bikini printed over the top of the picture!) ((I also particularly liked the cover song))
Tut, tut - ye of little taste! Not only did this have better music, but -

  • Re: B&O Play TV coming this quarter
The first 32" b8 was really bad! The 40" was good. The Samsung is good with a bluray but with the other signals are awful.
Things move on daily - a quote from Whathifi on the latest E8000 series Samsungs - Any discussion of the Samsung’s Smart TV capability needs to start with the startling level of picture quality it is able to wring from the most marginal of sources. It’s one thing to make the likes of the BBC’s iPlayer

  • Re: B&O Play TV coming this quarter

If that picture is correct but the TV is better looking "in the flesh" then whoever selects the pictures for publicity releases needs sacking - if the TV genuinely looks like that and is no better in the flesh then either the designer (if in house) or the guy who signed off the design as worthy of the name needs sacking ..................... it looks truly awful! The debate always was "yeah they look gorgeous but they're way too expensive compared to the competition" - now
Gotta admit though, the BV10 is the most beautiful piece of design that i've ever come across - it's just timeless elegance! I love the 32" version too. It's just a shame that I really can't afford one at today's prices maybe the 32" at £3500 etc but... it's awesome especially on the spikes - i love it Whilst i'm loving the V1 and I really do - i've still got the BV10 in the back of my mind - DAMN!!! • Re: Winning BS8 covers announced

Nevertheless, a worthwhile exercise - just think how many new customers will buy the BS8 with these new frets! I 'll bet all the people who voted for it will buy one. Never ask the public what they like - you always end up with an average answer that no one actually likes and no one will buy - a bit like governments really !

So much for picture quality being source dependent.
Yeah, because on LCDs, standard definition is great and Blu-rays are terrible. A 1080p picture is ropey whilst an upscaled SD source is better. Who on earth can argue against the source not dictating the quality of the picture on an LCD? Of course a quality source dictates the image on an LCD screen. No point buying a top-of-the-range LCD TV

  • Re: Clouding Bv10 40/46

If you can't see it in normal viewing then ignorance is bliss - it would be madness to go looking for it on purpose. Once you know it to be there you will convince yourself you can see it under normal conditions and your satisfaction with your TV will be ruined forever. I've seen too many people changing things because they've read about it in magazines/forums etc. and have then convinced themselves they can see/hear it themselves! Watch the programmes on your TV, not the TV itself!
