• Re: B&O Play TV coming this quarter
I've just read the user guide, there's no mention yet about which audio + video formats can be played via DLNA or USB input (ALAC? WMA lossless?FLAC? MKV or VOB video files?)
See: Not too bad actually! They have also published a document with a lot of info about all the sound possibilities. It's clear that this engine are going to be used in some high-end Beovisions

  • Re: Beoplay A8

I don't think it has Bluetooth. It says: "Bluetooth music receiver (audio playback via line-in)", which is just marketing speak for "It has an AUX input which you can use to connect anything, including an Bluetooth receiver". If you look at the specs for the "old" Beosound 8, it says: "AirPort Express/Bluetooth music receiver (audio playback via line-in)". So, I'm thinking only WiFi.

  • Re: BS5e; sort of NOT "stand alone"
I was astonished to see the Beosound 5 encore presented in the same room as a Beovision 10 in the last catalogue. I wonder if this is a possible setup ???
Sure, just don't connect the Beovision to the speakers! Guessing it was just the designers/photographers that got a little over-excited.
I've seen somewhere here that people were connecting the power link out of the Encore to one power link out (front) of a bv. As

  • Re: Peter Pans Hjemmebio, - interface - tips & tricks.

As for mine - it is priceless. Peter, who I had not met and did not know other than as someone who offered advice on this site, gave it to me. That meant so much and his gesture had a real influence on my view of the world. Cleve
Reading about Peter's kindness restores my faith in humankind. He sounds like a really nice guy! He's truly an inspiation - we should all be a little more like him.

  • Re: Wanting BMW 320d or 330d touring
Neither of these can keep the engine anywhere near running temp, but will speed the warming up, and in really cold weather can make the difference whether it will start at all or not.
Indeed, it makes quite the difference on cold mornings. It's particulary nice if you install a interior heater too, then the car is nice and warm when you get in. Makes all the difference if it's downhill all the way to work and you have a diesel engine which takes
To accomplish what? I don't think I understand your question..
Control two different boxes/PCs.
Not directly, but there's nothing preventing the same processor from listening/writing on more than one bus.
Ah, okey. The reason for asking is that I have a Lintronic box (great box for us who cannot build our own!). It can listen to commands from pin 8 on scart, but it only has one input. Therefore it would be

  • Re: What are you WATCHING "right now' ?
Haven't seen much great in movies lately, other than "Trollhunter" but that was a while ago.
Ah, I love "Trolljegeren" (Trollhunter)! Not many Norwegian movies are known outside Norway! Watching season 1 of The Walking Dead at the moment. Quite grotesque, but seems good.

Been hooked on the BBC show "Quite Interesting" (QI) lately. It's hosted by Stephen Fry and together with four panellists (Alan Davies and three guests) he talks about funny things from history and things everybody thinks are true, but actually are not («general ignorance» as they call it). The comedians are (mostly) funny and things they talk about are, well, quite interesting. Fry and Davies are always funny and when they are joined by the right people it can be hilarious

  • Re: Questions about Beoplay V1 and connections

    Hi again!
2) I have a surround setup today with powerlink cabling. Are there adapters available to go from the RJ45 connectors on the TV to powerlink or do i have to buy new cables?
Not sure what sort of adapters they offer. But, in any case, if you have hidden your cables or something you could always just buy short RJ45-DIN cables and then use a DIN female-female adapter (third from the top HERE ). But I'm sure Steve (from SoundsHeavenly) can make adapters
