• Re: New B&O TV BeoVison Harmony

If you’r using third party receivers/devices, like I do (Sat-receiver Vu+Duo2), then you will have flickering screens when your BV shows a picture in a short time. But after that my VU+ zaps at lightning speed when needed (Al Bundy’s relaxed mode) in contrary to the build-in stbmodule in my BS3. I’m just wondering how more than one 3rd party devices are connected to the Harmony. Just one cable and sources switched by hdmi-cec or puc? From what I’ve read about experiences with

  • Re: Essence 2nd gen - new sw 1.20?

I don’t know whether it is new or I haven’t noticed before, but I can now reboot the M5 from a distance after it has lost bluetooth connection with the Essence-Remote. After rebooting the M5 the bt-connection works again.

  • Re: Beosystem 3 an Beovision 4-65 Led blinkt

The system 2 and 3 are different. Panels originally used with BS3 use Slot 1 with a DVI instead of Slot 2 at the panels used with the BS2. These older panels have a PC/VGA input at slot 1. The RS232 command at the BS2 tells the panel to switch to slot 2 (where the DVI inout is located). So, if the BS3 starts it sends a signal to use slot 1 where the newer panels have their DVI input . The newer panels didn't have the VGA input. So basically there is a mix up. That could result in the blinking

Since the introduction of the Avant in the nineties, the Beovisions has never started up quickly. I don’t care about these few seconds. If the time to start up is the same as the older beovisions we had and are entertained in the meantime with the Harmony’s movement, then that’s a plus. Lot’s of members did complain in the past about the missing curtains at the newer BV’s. So, now there is movement to look at.

  • Re: Is the Moment a sensible buy?

Here, it works well. Connected with a NL converter to my BV9 and Beogram 6500 connected to the sensing Line-In.

  • Re: BeoLab 1 Reliability

Most faults can probably avoided by playing not to loud. Some drive them to pain hearing level with techno music. Then the tweeter is the first to object.
How do you make us of the sensing line-in?
Just press the start button on my BG6500, the Moments starts up and it plays the records I, and my daughters recently, bought. From there the system starts up without the need to use an app. Having a dedicated tablet (Moment) everyone can use in the house. I could replace the Moment by a Core (which I have), that would some extra features, but I like the Moment being present as a soundsystem.

  • Re: BeoLab 1 Reliability

Until now I've successfully repaired 40+ BL1's. Different faults with tweeters, amplifiers and powersupply's passed by. All fixed. The biggest challenge will be whenever a woofer itself is broken. That will be hard to solve as there aren't spaceparts available anymore. The tweeter can be repaired. If you just want to buy a pair, just buy it. Find a BL2 to complete the set and you're ready to go.
What is in it - anyone?
I noticed that there is an option under product setup called problem solving, where you restart and back to factory default. I don't know whether that was there before (I asked that for that option as my M5 sometimes doesn't respond to the Essence remote and restarting the M5 seems the only working option, instead of taking the powercord off)

  • Re: Suitable settings on a router for B&O to function well?

I took a snapshot of Beotool and guess what, Beoportal problems. What is Beoportal? Some kind of vault where they keep your TuneIn and Deezer credentials? To share these in event of adding new products?
