  • Re: Beovox S45-2 bad sound after transportation

I had a problem with my S45-2s way back when. Saying the sound was “blurry” is at least close to the same problem I had. I thought it was a failed phase link first, and even bought one from Martin. In fact, now that i think of it, i found this forum when trying to fix the S45-2s. Ultimately The solution was simple: new crossover capacitors from Martin. Many years later i still listen to the S45-2s almost daily. They are now in the dining room with BM4000, BG4002 (SMMC20EN), CDX, and BC4500.

  • Re: Beovox P45 tweeter issue?

That looks like the correct tweeter for P45 (and M70). My tweeters were not soldered. Just slipped the mechanical connectors off, then slipped back on. Those tweeter leads are fragile, though. There is a thread somewhere where I fixed one and sent it to Soren. Good luck.

  • Re: Beovox M70 midrange fix or replace?

The phase link is the 4” cone (third from top) and the midrange is the 2.5” dome (second from top). I suspect a seized phase link would be a straight forward fix. Can’t speak to a dome driver repair.

  • Re: BEOVOX S40 REPLACEMENT FOAM

Looks like I used Simply Speakers last time. It's been so long since I've tried to insert a hyperlink on this site, I've forgotten how to do it! Shame on me! https://www.simplyspeakers.com/bang-olufsen-speaker-repair-foam-edge-kits.html

I’ve refoamed my S40’s twice with surrounds purchased in the US. I will pull my file and see if I have receipts and can point you to a source.
