  • Re: Bang & Olufsen dealers are giving up

So i have just got home from work and looked at my bv7 and thought no way I could get rid of you, or my beo4 on the wall in the kitchen or my bv3 in my bedroom, please B&o won't you do some automation or touch screens or something. What does the future hold, what direction are they going in. Is the mlgw the only way to cross communicate.

I must admit that i do love B&o and the BV7 is a peice of Art as well as a TV in my living room and if the 7-55 was within reach i would buy one but as its not i opted for a external beamer and screen fro when i want a larger screen but this lead me to automation and more possibilities. The design is excellent i dont think there is a TV i have ever seen that looks as lovely as the BV7 and for now for looks alone i will keep it. i wont compare to sony or any other as there is no real competition

Hi there being one of the younger croud i understand what you mean but i love my bang and olufsen stuff. this week i have been investigating control 4 automation and multiroom for my system going forward and it is showing me that i wil need to give away control of my system from ML and PUC etc to another system that can intergrate everything. When i was 20 some 12 years ago multiroom system were un heard of and i dreamt of one day having them, now i have and many years later i am limited by what

  • Re: Can B&O survive? Maybe soon?

I really hope they do survive as I love the brand and it's the original multi room system in my eyes. Trouble is that is what attracted me to the brand from day one and now most automation systems can offer this and quite cheaply too. Still this does not mean I would ever part with my beocenter 9300 that I love even know I don't use it. Beoplay looks like a good step for making hi turnover products but they don't have any of the connectivity issues that I love. Fingers crossed they find

  • ML Gateway / Beonet / Automation

Hi all I have loads of questions, does anyone have some answers or maybe even some facts about where B&o are going with automation etc. I am thinking that in the future I will get some control 4 stuff and automate my house so everything can be accessed from screens in each room. This lead me to find out that the ML gateway can connect to the C4 controller and then you can control the bang and Olufsen system from within the C4 stuff. From what I understand the c4 would then control my bang and

  • Home automation

Hello all I have been reading about home automation over the last few days and wondered how much B&o will implement home automation. I see that control 4 offer some good stuff, control panels etc and can integrate via the ml gateway. All this started after the future home program on the tv, I think I will buy the biolock tomorrow and install it over the week. I have also been looking at x10. Any ideas thoughts from you all. I Love the idea of controlling everything from a control panel and being

Hi there bud I have bs3 lab 9 and lab 6000 as rears When I first bought my lab 9's it took me months to get used to them, I also turned the treble pots down a little as it was affecting hearing. I have two noticed after a year or so that they are excellent for music but only when I am sitting on the sofa. When I have friends over and we have the music up the speakers g orange light as they have to be worked harden when dancing as the sound stage is low on the floor. I have just bought some lab

  • Lab 12 arrive soon

Hi there My lab 12's come in tomorrow if they are early if not Friday. Need to work out how high to put brackets. How to hide the back box behind the bracket, I am so excited but I have to build a timber frame and plasterboard a wall first. Gutted I cannot put them up tomorrow, and I need to order some premade cat 6 cables and cut the ends off. So much to do. But so little time :)

  • Re: Lab 12 arrive soon

Well they have arrived and now I am super sad that I cannot put them up, one is playing on my kitchen table just so I can use it. I will now have to push myself to get the plasterboard put up and get it painted. Monday I have the damp proof injections being installed so that's a start. I have just realised that my beocenter 9300 is going to have to sit low as I never quite realised how low these will be to allow the tweeter to be my head level. Its going to be a tough few weeks
