• Re: Beomaster 3400 - sudden hum from the speakers

Replace the idle current trimmers and set the idle current as shown in the servicemanual. If the hum continues, check the filter capacitors and rectifier, both for the amplifiers and for the low-voltage power supply. Martin

  • Re: BM4400 Tuner issues
I thought to change all the bulbs by LEDs ???
Why? And no, the lamps are integral parts of the circuit (as also confirmed above), the lamps current flow is essential for correct function. Martin

  • Re: Schematics for CD4/57?

10 Ohms fusible. Two of them - one either side of the two related transistors. And replace the two transistors too. Note what's fitted and replace accordingly. Trust that rather than the manual, which has a serious typo there. Martin

  • Re: Beogram CD7000/Beomaster Remote Link Lost

Lead broken from its solder joint inside the DIN plug on the CD cable - most likely. Bad protection diodes in either Beomaster or Beogram CD (or both) - rarer. Martin

Nicotine and sunlight. In that order. It's rare to find 60s and 70s white B&O still bright white. Smoking was common in most homes back then, almost everyone was smoking and all inventory, furniture, curtains and carpets had the tint, the stickyness and the smell. Martin

  • Re: BM4400 Tuner issues

It takes less than 2 minutes to replace a lamp. Take off the top cover, pull the socket (or the sockets leads carefully) from inside the Beomaster, pull the lamp from the socket, insert a new lamp and fit the socket back in its holder. See Craigs photo higher up in this thread, where both of the tuning lights sit in their sockets and leads - just pulled in from their holders. Going in from the front would take a week. Yes, I have the lamps. Martin
AliExpress seems to be the best place to source the bulbs in quantities...
Yes, but the cheap chinese (no offense intended) "toy lamps" have a typical lifespan of max 1000 hours - and you're lucky if they'll last 100-200 hours. When it comes to quality, you get what you pay for. And I agree on LED vs. lamps. It's a general misunderstanding, that LEDs will last forever. They are basically hard working diodes. Many of these Beomasters

  • Re: Beocenter 2200 renovering

Jeg har både remme, gummi til mellemhjul i kassettedelen og skalalamper. Den laver autostop efter 3-4 sekunder, hvis båndet ikke kører rigtigt og/eller hvis remmen til bevægelsesføleren er dårlig. Martin
