• Re: New store opening
..... they have an area dedicated to vintage products.... It rekindled the feelings of awe when I first encountered the brand years ago.
The current products should be doing that... Or at least I think that's the idea when you have a store !! Lee

It's a spam attack. We get these regularly. Real people are being employed to do this in order to beat our filters, so there's not a lot you can do apart from delete the accounts manually. Our moderating team sometimes spend literally hours on 'watch' deleting these posts and accounts via the moderators panel. It's very annoying as the moderating team have families, and lives to lead, but if it means being on constant alert to make the site spam-free then we just get on with it

  • Re: Beovision 7 40 Mk 3 Motorised Stand Operation

Because you reset the TV, you reset the speaker configuration. Don't worry - it can be fixed with a few button pushes Go back into settings and tell the TV it has surround speakers. If you have the user manual it will tell you exactly what to do. Lee

  • Re: Beovision 7 40 Mk 3 Motorised Stand Operation

Well, if you plugged the stand in whilst the TV was powered up, you could have blown the module in the TV - which means a new chassis. B&O should make more of a thing of not doing that.. If it was powered down when you plugged the DIN plug into the rear, do the following. 1) Power everything down. 2) Disconnect the stand 3) Reset the TV to factory default settings 4) Power down again, and wait a minute or two. 5) Connect the stand 6) Power up - and it should recognise the stand. If it doesn't

You're pressing left, left, 'standby' probably? Try left, left, STOP (the button is towards the bottom left of the keypad..) Lee

  • Re: Beolab 7.1 How to remove grill

Slide it sideways, to the left (from memory). If it feels like it wont budge, keep going - it will. Sometimes I used to get a small square of rubber, hold it against the very outer edge of the grille, and tap it lightly with a small hammer to loosen it up. For getting a small and light dent out, I used to use my thumb or fingertip. Push very gently to start with, and apply more pressure gradually if needed. The aluminium mesh is very soft, and if you go in too hard you'll end up making more of

  • Re: Non Availability of Spare parts

Another squeeze on the jugular of anyone daring to try and resurrect or improve the condition of their own B&O products, if that's the case. It's either B&O supporting their service centres in a rare show of loyalty, or it's to get existing customers to ditch their existing B&O and buy new B&O... which they won't - they'll just switch to another brand like they have been doing for the last 5-7 years. Who knows. Lee

  • Re: BV Avant 75 bleeding

This is a known fault, and you have received the standard answer - which is rubbish (in my opinion). My own Avant 75 had the exact same issue, and I too had the same response. A few photos of the clouding on a grey background, and also green, of it looking truly awful (and unwatchable, frankly) then B&O eventually admitted it wasn't right and replaced the panel. The new panel has a few areas of very light clouding, which I can accept as 'within tolerance'. I'd push for a new panel
