• Re: Beocom 6000 line busy

Your little black block where your RJ11 to bt cable plugs has wiring as below.. Have a look at the small plug at the end of the other end of the BT plug and note how many wires you can see?

OK, that's good we now both know what we are talking about. So, your TalkTalk modem/router is plugged into one socket of the Microfilter and your RJ11 to BT plug is in the other socket. Based on the information you have provided I think the RJ11 to BT cable is the problem. The small RJ11 plug needs to use pins 2 and 5. The numbers are counted from left to right. Some of these cables only have two wires connect and not to pins 2 and 5

OK, I think you mean you are plugging it into a "Microfilter" like the one below.. Is that correct?

If you are getting "Line Busy" then the phone line is open. You say you have connected the correct three wires, but you only need two which are pins 2 and 5 on the BT socket. You also say it is going through an ADSL to accommodate the TalkTalk modem, Do you mean you have plugged your base into an analogue port on your router? If yes, then that is your problem.. Some routers do have analogue ports on them to allow you to use your analogue phone as an IP phone, BUT to use them you need a

If you have the pronto codes for each of your buttons then translation is fairly easy. Post a few of your captured pronto codes and I will convert them into a simple xml file for you to try

Assuming your image is the only thing your device shows without decoding the protocol, then its not clear to me how it defines User and Data. I suggest to you that it is decoding the most common IR protocol called NEC You can look HERE to a Beo5 sub-domain of Beoworld which I put together in about 2005. As far as protocols are concerned it is just as valid as for Beo5 There are many tools available which will read the IR and display the waveform, but not many can or do decode the protocol used. So
I can also see them now. Two hours ago I couldn't. I suppose Keith found out something. Martin
I can confirm that I have found the problem and fixed it.. The problem was in the Microsoft SQL Server which made the system think 22 posts were locked and not available to users.
Thanks Keith - I am sure many beoworlders will be pleased to see the posts from Peter Pan again. MM
I am planning to load the backup server with a backup copy of the Forum from yesterday, so I can try and see what may have happened. This will take me a while, so please don't expect Peter Pan's thread to be back working today..
