  • Re: B&O shares overpriced?

The Simply Wall Street service essentially offers visual tools to undertake fundamental analysis. It doesn’t offer investment advice or broker analysis so I’d take with a pinch of salt any commentary it offers up on any equity.

@Ulrike, great photo! There's so much warmth in that picture. @carlito we also have the Infantry Green and I personally think it's almost the most neutral out of all of the colours, including the 'untreated' bare aluminium version. It blends, until you see it, and then catch the level of workmanship. Whether you want it to contrast or blend will depend on your general room vibe. Either way, i'm sure you'll love it.

  • B&O App - ear defenders not included

Had been meaning to post this a couple of weeks ago; but a quick heads up... I was in the process of trying to set up and add a Beosound 2 to our network using the B&O App, following the last update. During set up, when I turned the TV on using the app, the TV speakers and all connected speakers were set at level 90 - it happened three times, and I was 2m away from the TV! I kid you not, my ears were ringing for 2 days afterwards. It was literally deafening. Hopefully nothing has been damaged

  • Re: OPPO says farewell to bluray players

I was very much reading whole company; no new products, just the provision of support to existing portfolio. I have often wondered why B&O never made a play for a business like Oppo, or at least sought a deep partnership. I always considered the demand for these players was enough beyond being a niche category, and that would potentially allow the business to reach beyond their core B&O customer base, in the way that Oppo does. If they got it right, the halo effect has the potential to bring

  • Re: Essence won`t accept Spotify connect

That's much more plausible @Ulrike, makes perfect sense really. Also good shout on information flow from B&O; it can't be impossible to push such notices into the B&O app, without using notifications. I am only an iOS user, so I don't know what the 'droid m.o. is for permitting alerts/notifications. On iOS you'd have to opt-in at app launch. And yes, you'd expect the information to be in the hands of dealers early on in the game, even if it's 'this is coming

Could this have something to do with the recent rumours that they are developing their own hardware, like the HomePod? http://variety.com/2018/digital/news/spotify-hardware-1202704960/ So looks like Airplay and Chromecast will be the principal workarounds for Spotify + B&O 'integration' going forwards.

  • Re: SACD playback from bluray player on a BV - question?

Mr MM, I understand. I've checked with the user manual on the Sony before, and it seems to convert the DSD to PCM at playable output via HDMI on my Beosystem 4 driven set. I suppose the proof in the pudding will be in the eating - I'll let you know how it goes. Manual here: http://pdf.crse.com/manuals/4588106111.pdf pp. 29

MM, I’m considering the Sony UHP-H1; it’s around £300 and allows for SACD/DVD Audio playback via HDMI, which seems to fit your brief pretty well. https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/blu-ray-disc-players/uhp-h1#reviews_awards_v2_default :)
