  • Beovox RL 7000 - No DIN Connector?

Just received very nice pair of RL 7000s. I've had many Red Line speakers in the past and used the DIN connectors I just cannot find the DIN connector on the 7000s - did they not have one?! Rather odd as the RL 140s did (I'm pretty sure) and the 7000s were the top-model successor to the 140s. Thanks for any info. Regards from London

  • Beolink 7000 'No Contact' and other issues

Hi there, I have two BL7000s and have been trying to get either/both fully operational with a complete Beosystem 6500. 1. Beolink Type 1540 SW-1.6 (as per label) Setup initially went well and two-way communication was established. It (two way) was slightly intermittent but 90% working. It would lose contact (in a two-way sense) from time to time. This could be re-established by re-adding the 'Radio' and storing. After a day or two and many button presses on the 7000, I receive the ominous

  • Beomaster 7000 and Software Versions

Hi there, I’m about to buy a BM 7000 with software version 1.1. And I right in thinking the following: - 1. software updates after 1.1 mainly fixed issues regarding multiroom setups? 2. the most up-to-date software for the BM7000 is 1.3? 3. if it is a simple one room setup with just one audio master, it should be set to option 1? The only reason for replacing my BM6500 with the BM 7000 is the RDS tuner which I hope will send data to the Beolink 7000. Is the 1.1 software a limiting factor in

Thanks for the swift response – very helpful! Thanks for the swift response – very helpful! Not sure what 1.1 fixed from 1.0. However 1.2 and 1.3 from what I have read, seem to address very specific issues concerning Beolink/ Multi room setups and the data sent to/from the audio and video master. Sorry for the lack of detail but I’m on an iPhone and found the information originally when I was at my PC.

  • Beolink 7000 - getting there...

Hi there, Got a new (well let's say - 'another') BL7000 - Type 1631 SW: 3.1 All seems to work including 2-way comms and RDS from a BM7000 Quick question - Pressing 'Control' should allegedly allow me to choose source 2 to control while listening to source 1. However, tapping 'Control' brings up the page with today's date/time and the option to program the date/time. Anyone seen this - is it a known issue? Thanks!

  • Re: Beomaster 5000 Tuner - 75 Ohm Coaxial Connection

I am in precisely the same position also having a newly acquired p.m. 5000 Despite all the helpful information given by other responders, were are you in fact hoping that someone would come up with an idea for a short cable that would go from your FM socket in the wall to a plug suitable for the back of the BM 5000? What did you actually do in the end and is it working well? Alan PS do you actually drive the eponymous motor?

  • Re: Beomaster 8000 Complete System w/ MS 150

I am extremely jealous of this fabulous system - well done! But tell me.... After all that effort and TLC, why on earth not hide all the cables which would allow the machines to shine more. For me, seeing all that black spaghetti around these beautifully designed machines is rather akin to painting a moustache on the Mona Lisa ;-) It is the very antithesis of the design ethic of Jensen who went to great pains to hide all the ugly bits. OK - rant over - I'm still jealous! ;-)

  • Re: Do you have a Beomaster 2000 type 2801 for sale? - plus other items sought - see post

Hi Alf, AUS - Austria or Australia? Ignoring the shipping issue, would you mind emailing me acurtis@londoncomputer.com and let me know how much you want for the item. I am indeed interested. Sorry to ask this but I wanted to be clear – we are talking about type 2801 aren't we? – As in the attached picture. Best – Alan

  • Re: Question about B&O Cabinet

Purely my opinion of course but I think chrome would be a huge mistake. Chrome is for 1950s Cadillacs replete with bling. You will notice that very little chrome was used by B&O during the time that Jensen was in charge of design. To me, chrome is the very antithesis of the design ethic of B&O during this wonderful period. Once again, purely my personal opinion – good luck with the project! .....just don't use chrome :-)
