New software for Eclipse 2.7.37196 And the problem with “Clip Protection” is finally solved. Hopefully other problems from the previous software update are solved too. Unfortunately Bang & Olufsen’s support line is very hard headed to communicate with, it’s simply impossible to have a constructive conversation, especially if you have knowledge yourself at technician level. They will never, never admit there possibly has been flaws in one of there software updates, the

Yes it seems like they have done a lot with the sound center and for what reason and just agreeing, hope really B&O read everything in this tread. Another thing I experienced after this software update is that a bad sounding noise can appear in the speakers when turning the system off.

I got the problem too with no sound after the latest update, ending up making a factory reset of the sound center. Afterwards I find out that the problem was related to “Clip Protection” a function which is turned ON by default, but in my case turned OFF because I have recognized it cut off the lower bass to my BL5 speakers. But after this software update it is no longer possible to disable the function, if doing so it will replace the sound with a high frequency tone, which will not
Hi Beofan, another question: how is the audioquality when you listen to music 2 channel to your connected speakers? My question is not if the soundbar sounds good but if the soundbar produces good audioquality to connected frontspeakers. I have today Beolab 5 connected to my Beovision 7-55 and my detailed question is if the D/A converters and the other audioparts in the eclipse is better than Beovision 7with inbuilt Beosystem 3? I am talking about the electronic parts

As mentioned earlier, my 65’ Eclipse has the pink tint in both sides.
Is there a YouTube clip or something similar you can view to check the screen quality? Ideally while dealer is installing it so it can be rejected straight away if there is an issue?
Yes, at YouTube you can search for “white test screen” for checking tint or color uniformity and “5% grey test screen” for check of

Just now I also have my BS9000 hardwired through the NL/ML converter and have already had a very long conversation to my B&O dealer after realizing that this setup did not work much more than 20% when connected to Eclipse, even after spending a fortune keeping the BS9000 “alive”
Could you elaborate on this? What does 20% mean? Functionality or length of time? What symptoms are you getting? I own a BS9000
