• Re: Watches

Hi, If you're talking about the full full black Speedmaster, people at Omega call it "the first Omega smartwatch, because you need to be very smart to read the time on it!"

  • Airplay-ing the Beosystem 10

Hi guys, Because i needed a small potable audio system for a bathroom and bluetooth is not really my thing, I decided to Airplay enable my Beosystem 10. Of course this time the mod would not be as aesthetic or concealed than previous works but it share the same basic rule: cancelable without any trace. So basically its just sticking an external airport express to the AUX in circuit. First step is to protect the BS10 back with a piece of adhesive vinyl and fit to strip of double side mirror tape to
Google+ is shutting down. Its only their version of Facebook, which failed. Everything else remains
Yes of course, not directly related to the topic. But just saying than even the giants could close any service anytime. There is a lot of very well working devices, docks, speakers, accessories with have become useless when developers stopped developing the control app or didn't support recent OS updates. Apple is famous for dropping support on stuff they
1) Designing software for every edge case (no pun intended ) can be expensive. If designers felt that most users would be using google, why spend the time and money for the app to support non-google users? Easier (less time and money) to build software with one path (enter google id) vs. 2 (if you have a google id, enter it), plus all the downstream side-effects of having google vs. non-google users.
I agree and understand the industrialization logic behind that

  • Beosound Edge Needs Google Account…

Last week there was an article in the French Newspaper "Le Figaro" titled: "Beosound Edge the Speaker who wanted too much" It is said that in order to use the Beosound Edge you need to register to a B&O account AND also give a Google account. The B&O account is needed for multiroom feature and the Google account, for home integration and Chromecast feature. It is also said that EVEN for direct Bluetooth listening or even Aux-in cable connection, the account is needed.

A quick update just to say that I'm able to run the Beolit for about one day (5-6 hours) with 5 AA 2450mAh batteries.

  • Re: Beo4 does not work

Hi BeoBoehm, In my experience having the IR lights blasting doesn't mean the remote is working. You can read in the following thread my example of weird behavior with a Beo4: keys not responding after some time or unknown sequence/event. The diodes were flashing well but the issue was there. https://forum.beoworld.org/forums/t/33239.aspx I ended up replacing the remote, if you're patient you can sometimes get them very cheap.

Hi Kiran, What is that Beo4 bracket, please? Doesn't look like standard wall holder. Thanks.

  • Re: Beolit 707 Bluetooth

Hi alls, With the help of a friend more into electronics than me, I finally use 5 batteries outputting in total 5x1,2=6V theoretically and a little bit more when fully charged practically. I'm happy to announce than since yesterday my Beolit 707 is running on batteries. The blue one in the picture is just a spacer to fill the 4x holder. You can also see the 3D printed tone slider which should need a little more precision in printing but is perfectly functional so far. I'm still dealing with
