• Re: BeoMusic app is merging with Bang & Olufsen app

I completely agree. I find one of the biggest weaknesses of the B&O platform, the lack of streaming services integrated, particularly lossless streaming services. Other platforms such as Sonos and Devialet have managed to integrate Tidal, Qobuz, Spotify, Apple Music, etc. into their platforms. I would really like to see B&O do the same to match the great hardware products that they offer. It would complete the experience and at the moment I find this is sorely lacking. I appreciate that this
Hmm, i don't get this at all.....when out and about, playing music on headphones is straightforward...and the native streaming apps are all pretty good....does anyone thin B&O can do a better job of that? moreover they'll be restricted anyway by the 3rd party, so why spend time making a compromised experience...? and much as many would like (myself included) to be able to chose a streaming service to plug into B&O apps, that's not under B&O's

  • Re: Potential new lg oled tv from B&o this year?
The intel I have (from LG) is that for sure it will be WebOS.
Yep. Forgot to include the link to this press release in my previous post: http://www.lgnewsroom.com/2016/03/lg-enters-strategic-technological-partnership-with-bang-olufsen-to-develop-premium-oled-tv/ Of course, I would prefer it if B&O developed their own proprietary OS for their TVs to better integrate with all their other products but WebOS sounds promising.
I don't think you have misunderstood the descriptions which are intentionally vague. Accessories could allude to different configurations of the TV such as wall mounted, on a stand, or on a shelf. I am planning on a wall mounted system. I will only need the center speaker and will use my Beolab 9s. Bang and Olufsen was mentioned in the presentation of Google assistant. It sounds like we will be able to chat with Beoplay devices,Beosound Shape and probably the TVs

  • Re: Time to upgrade?
Indeed, there aren't many (any?) stand alone Loewe dealers in London......Selfidges and Harrods have sections, and the Selfirdges one disappeared for a while....much as B&O merit some critique, it simply isn't the case that, even in London, there are many places to buy Loewe TVs......my experience with their Airspeaker a few years ago was truly terrible, extremely fiddly to set up and far from stable.......
I think there’s also still a Loewe Galerie
Fair comment AngloApulian and I too will wait to see what B&O bring out. However, I feel 100% sure based on recent years and releases that it will be nothing more than an LG OLED panel with a better speaker and a more robust remote in fancy packaging. If you're happy to pay over £10,000 for that then good luck to you and I wish you well. Me? I am renovating a couple of properties at the moment, one to live in and one to rent out and I am spending a lot
A1 £3,500 for the latest, top of the range (arguably) OLED set in 55" producing the best picture quality experience for decades by miles. This is the NEW and CURRENT tv standard. Just add a decent sound bar (in my case) and you're done. What is my alternative if I stay loyal to B&O, which in many ways I'd like to? An outdated 2012/2016 LCD/LED model (BV11/14) which looks really poor in comparison for almost twice the price? Dealers currently

  • Re: AirPlay 2
Is the airplay 2 protocol in the ios11 beta? Seen quite a few early reviews of the beta capabilities, but no mention of Airplay 2....of course the reviewers won't have Airplay 2 speakers to test with........I suspect we won't hear much from the speaker manufacturers themselves until they release their new updated hardware, which might not be for a few months yet........not clear to me the voice activation/ assistant part will extend beyond the HomePod itself
I have heard from a reliable source today that the speaker of the BV Eclipse will be mounted only a few millimeters underneath the panel so you hardly will see the space between speaker and panel and of course you won't see the cable from speaker to the panel have a more similar design as the Beolab 7-1/2/6 (which front was aluminum) than the speaker of the Beocenter AV5 (which had a fabric speaker front) be a bit larger on both sides than the panel (similar
Any news when we can expect the new B&O OLED TV? Can we expect it's release in summer or not?
According to Press Releases, the B&O IFA 2017 Press Event is scheduled to take place on 30th August: http://flatpanelshd.com/news.php?subaction=showfull&id=1498478367
