    thanks for the heads up Ken. There's a lot to learn with the B&O world. I'll get in touch with that company.. I've also seen a few companies in South England which is a looong way from North West Wales! Thanks for the info with the cartridges. didn't know that the quality range improved in descending numerical order. Took the covers off my CX100 speakers (apart from the middle ones) and they need re-foaming, luckily there are a few videos on youtube! I've seen talk about changing

  • BeoGram 4500 - getting started

    Hi forum, I'm getting started in the Bang and Olufsen by inheriting my grandfathers BeoMaster 4500 along with the tape and turntable (Beogram 4500 with a MMC2 cartridge). I've hooked the system up at home and glad to see the table turning without difficulty after being stationary for years. I started with testing a record and although some sound is coming out of the speakers (phew!), the record sounds distant, tinny and distorts heavily as the song gets going. Close examination I'm anticipating
