Opto-coupler in BEOLAB 8000
Hello refurbishing world in the BEO-universe, i refurbished some pairs of BEOLAB 8000 now. The design of them increases WAF (wife acceptance factor) of my hobby and one unsolved riddle is the nature of the opto-coupler named PE201. If you try to find it on the pcb it looks like this. I took an iphone-foto through the binoculars of my stereo-microscope: Has anybody of you figured out where to get a spare part in case you need one? Greetings, MArtin

Re: Opto-coupler in BEOLAB 8000
Hello, thank you, Dillen, for your kind response. Nice to hear from you. To answer, no, I didn't, at the moment, I don't need one (to be precise 2). My Asperger syndrome leaves me restless untill I know EVERY part of the circuit diagram... ;-)) Greetings to beautiful and unreachable Denmark. Martin

Re: Getting a warmer sound from my Beolab 8002 speakers
Hi, I restored 3 pairs of Beloab 800(2)s now. Let's be honest. B&O is about design, not high-end equipment. PCBs have bad quality, conductors come of PCBs only when you intensively look at them. PCB-Layout is so bad, you can hear the noise in the speakers. My emotional connection to these devices is that I got them from my uncle for free wenn he moved and my wife is an art director, not an engineer. Sadly, I am an engineer and had to improve them while maintaining the look. Anyway, small

Re: Getting a warmer sound from my Beolab 8002 speakers
O.k. you have approx. 50 Euros in material and 3-4 afternoons of work. Economically speaking this makes no sense. But if you have an art director wife, things look different. You are welcome, of course.

Re: Unknown crossover network in Beolab 8000 MKII (8000883). Is a service manual with circuit diagrams for the Beolab 8000 MKII available?
Found it. It is 2.2uF, 50V

Re: Capacitor that determines switch-off-time in BEOLAB 8000 (Phono-input-operation)
Remark: By looking at the R141 (10M) which was o.k. I nearby found a small splash of soldering tin under the stereo microscope.... The problem was again sitting in front of the pcb... Removing the splash of soldering tin and cleaning the pcb wiht CH3(CHOH)CH3 fixed the problem. Thanks again for the inspiration.

Output voltage of amplifier to Tweeter and Bass Speaker in BEOLAB 8000 MK2
Dear fellow audio enthusiasts, output voltages for tweeter (10kHz) and woofer (1kHz) for older versions of BEOLAB 8000 are 2,95 and 4.8V at 0,100 V input according to the service manual. The 4.8V are obiously wrong for newer BEOLAB 8000 versions, aren't they? Either I am measuring the 100mV input wrong or the amplifer doesn't even get to 4.8V output at 100mV input. What is your experience? Thanks in advance! Martin
