  • Re: Bang & Olufsen App

Hi guys I'm a developer on the new Bang & Olufsen app, and I just wanted chip in and share as much info as I can at this point. This is our first iOS version and it has a very limited feature set but we're working hard to bring all the feature over from BeoMusic, so you don't need two apps. So yes for a while you need two apps and I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Currently we're working on TV support, All standby and DLNA and will release this very soon We will make a dedicated

Thanks everyone for the welcome and for the feedback. It is much appriciated. As mentioened I will try to use this forum more frequently to keep you guys updated and answer questions that you might have. Sandyb : Unfortunately playing from your phone will not be supported in the near future due to the complexity involving the various DRM solutions applied by different music services. Millemissen : We're trying to change the way we build software to a modern agile approach. This is not done over

Sandyb: The experience when playing music from your phone is very mixed. What happens is that the phone acts as a DLNA server and the target product plays from your phone. The problem is that it works with some music files and not with others and users can have both on their phone. We will not port it until we have clear picture of which music types we can support which we cannot. Is you music bought from iTunes if i might ask?

Hi Jan and Millemissen We're aware of this and have a fix going out today. This will also include some crash fixes and images disappearing from music and radio pages on certain navigation patterns. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. The fix will be live in 2-3 days depending on app store review time. Thomas, Bang & Olufsen

  • Update of the Bang & Olufsen app released

Hi all, Today we have updated the iOS app in the app store. The app have received a lot of polish and couple of new features. So here is a couple of words on that: We have improved the transitions between the different views to be more fluent, especially regarding the header. The player drawer (our internal name for the small grey bar in the bottom) has been refactored to have information on the selected product. That means no more snackbar messages on disconnected products All standby has been added

@Rudi sounds like a bug. It would be great if you could submit it using the feedback option in the menu. Then we have the logs and will fix it. @buesch The BLC converter is on our roadmap and will be supported. We're taking the legacy products one at a time

@sal we are working on DLNA now, the wait won't be long @weebyx we have seen some strangeness with the moment in the past. It's notifications of the playing state are slightly different than with the other products. The scenario you are describing sounds like a way to reproduce this, perhaps they are different when the playback is started from the Moment. I will make a bug on this and we will look into it. Thanks for the feedback! Much appeciated.

Hi Chris We have a couple of bugs on this already. We implemented the favorite radio stations as normal radio stations, not realizing they needed "special treatment". We plan to fix this in the next release and i will add your description to the existing case. Thanks for taking the time to describe it in detail. @weebyx i just investigated error you reported with the Moment and it is fixed and should be out in the next release as well Thanks Thomas

@MartinRK: Yes we will support this, we just need to restructure the app a bit to able to handle the more limited feature set in a proper way @Weebyx: The setup pages won't go away anytime soon, so many items in there. We will migrate more and more items to the X app. We have already moved the basic information to the settings pages MyProducts->Click a product. We plan to move network, sources and alarms. Perhaps this question should go to all of you guys. What items from BeoSetup would like
