• Beosound Edge - Reactions?

After thinking about it more... I guess this is a good product. My main complaint would be that B&O have been putting out a lot of mickey-mouse products to appeal to the mass market, (some Beoplay; not all, but a lot). With the mass market, comes the whole wireless/streaming stuff, which means less emphasis on sound quality at the highest possible level. I however reminded myself that along with the mickey-mouse wireless products, B&O also do put out all the Beolab speakers and TVs of the
Disagree. I don’t have office floor or wall space that can handle an A9 or Shape, but a wall mounted Edge will be PERFECT! B
I don’t understand how you don’t have space for a wall mounted A9, but would have it for this thing. It’s extremely uneconomical space wise... a sideways mounted circle that would stick out half a meter?

  • Beosound Edge - Reactions?
btw it's very nice to see that the design language seems to sloooooowly switch back to Bang & Olufsen and away from the design accidents like the A6 ;) Beosound 1, 2 and Edge have the Bang & Olufsen design touch and I like it!
Hard to go wrong with a circle, and fabric stretched over each end. 😉😉 I kid, I kid. I’m not the biggest fan of simplicity, without provocation. For instance the A9 is very simple, but offers enough character to be different

  • Re: Clicking sounds in A9 MkII

I get a loud “plop” “plop” sound from my A9 late at night, between 1am and 2am. Iv been wondering why. It just sound like the house cooling down after a hot day sort of snapping sound, but hollow sounding. I thought it just might be the frame of the house, but it always comes right from where the A9 is. 🤔🤔

  • Beosound Edge - Reactions?

I had imagined this with a smoked glass door on one side that opens to reveal a vinyl turn-table! Vinyl has become so popular among young people, while older folks still have collections. Could have been an opportunity to make a bold statement in a world of streaming music that never really works when you want it to, or to appeal to those wanting to take a moment away from compressed mp3s to appreciate none “on the go” music. The wall mount orientation would then have more practicality. B&O were

It’s......... interesting. For me, aesthetically, it’s a design success, and a design peculiarity at the same time. In regular middle class homes, I think it might need some consideration on placement at the risk of looking cheapened. In that setting, perhaps it looks a little like a cake tin with fabric stretched over it on either side. However, surprisingly, in my mind’s eye, put into an extremely large, mostly glass, 30 foot-ceiling-height modern home, it would simply be exquisite. Coupled with

  • Re: Putting a Beolab 3 on top of a Beolab 2

I think the ceiling ones you have would be good for me based on where this whole project is going. BUT, they are really $$$$$, over 700 UK pounds! All the Beolab 3s available in my second hand market currently either have wall brackets, or rubber bases. Only one set with ceiling mount. Thats why I was wondering about just placing the BL3 on top of the BL2 since most of the ones available just have a rubber base, and 700pounds for the ceiling version costs more than the speakers!

  • Re: Something New

Now that’s interesting. Haven’t got a clue what it could be.
the A9's big brother?
I think its actually A9's little brother judging by the size of the curvature, looks like a smaller circumference than the A9, and the A9 is already pretty big! It looks deeper/thicker though.......

Thats great! I think those are WAY better than the black wall brackets. These wood ones look more like they belong in a home, plus you keep the silhouette shape of the speaker

  • Re: Beolab 5 issue

Thats great news! Out of curiosity, did you buy your BL5s from a dealer second hand, or through a private sale; my question is weather or not you have/had any warranty for speakers when you got them? Or did you pay the dealer to come out? Here in the US, buying second hand is a tricky proposition in case you get issues after you get the speakers.
