• Re: Flash your B&O - new thread!

With this autumn weather outside I thought it would be a good idea to post some of my B&O items. I am studying, and therefore most of my items are bought secondhand. In my bedroom i have a BeoVision 8-26 connected to an AppleTV via HDMI. The BeoVision is mounted to BeoVision 6 floor stand, with a bracket I made myself. It is placed on a BeoVision 3 cabinet. I know I maybe should have cleaned my desk, but what the heck.. Who has a clean desk... The lamp is cardbox-design from IKEA controlled by

  • Dead Beosound 8

A friend of mine just bought a faulty Beosound 8. None of the lights power on when connected to a regular poweroutlet. So i have read that there is fuse inside the cabinet, that is possibly burnt. But I don't know how to open the cabinet. Do any of you have a service manual or a step-by-step tutorial?

  • Re: BeoVision 4-50 Table Stand

DONE!.. After a small email conversation with BeoVox141, I was ready to make my own table stand and decided to use the stand of an old crt avant. I found an AV5 2 kilometers from my apartment which I picked up for about 15€. So I took it to my dads garage and started to disassemble it until I had the bare aluminum skeleton. I'm not proud of it, but the rest ended as garbage... When I had the bare skeleton I bolted the wall bracket of the BV4-50 to the skeleton, and cut of approximately 10cm of

  • An old BeoCenter 6 floor stand gets a new life

A couple of months back i bought a BeoCenter 6-23. Not because I needed it, but simply because it was cheap. I thought it would be a nice bedroom TV. But at the same time that I had bought the BC6 I found an even cheaper BeoVision 8-26. I preferred the look of the BC6-23 but although it had a DVI-socket, it wasn't HDCP-compatible. So if i wanted to connect my AppleTV I had to use a scart-converter. The BV8-26 had a single HDMI-socket, not much, but perfect for my needs. So i thought to myself
http://www.eurodocument.com/img/data/PANA_S9_UK.pdf You can install a (second) DVI board as well to have a second HD input (did this with my Beovision 4-42)....
Thank you Ralf! That was extremely helpful. After a bit of searching i found out that the stands were quite expensive, and i'm getting closer to making a stand myself.
The BV4-50 comes in at a whopping 50kg! Which made me think,- Why not take the base from an old Avant. The center of gravity should be about the same, and the MDF chassis is not only rock solid, but also very easy to modify! The motor assembly is no more than 2 inches high, and would look great as a tabel stand! I have made several stands from recyled Beovison parts, AV9000 , BV7-32 and the Avant If you need parts let me know :-)
I'm thinking about
Try to find out what Panasonic pedestal will fit. It is a Panasonic Professional display under the B&O frame.... Did so with my Beovision 4-42 (bought a defect Panasonic display with base just to get the stand ).
After some searching i found out that the Plasma panel in my BV4 is a D9, how do i find out which Panasonic displays used the D9 panel?

  • BeoVision 4-50 Table Stand

Last week i did a complete bargain on a wallmounted BeoVision 4-50. But i don't want to mount it on a wall. I have an old B&O F1000 furniture i want to put it on. And here is my question.. Do anybody here on BeoWorld have a used Table Stand for the BeoVision 4? The two dealers in my town couldn't sell me one. So i should either find a used one, or make one myself. As i'm living in Denmark, and they are extremely hard to find here, i've prepared myself to make one on my own. If

  • Re: No sound from front speakers connected to BeoSystem 3

PROBLEM SOLVED... As i woke up i was ready to grab the BeoSystem and bring it to my local dealer, for him to find the fault. But something in my head told me give the BeoSystem a reset and start over. So i did, and i found out that the fault was... Me... I didn't assign the speakers as i should have done. So this time it worked and the system have been playing perfectly since that. :-) A big thanks goes out to all of you who have responded to the thread!

Hi Steve. That's an extremely kind offer, but i have tested each cable through the POWERLINK-port of my BV8-26, and they did what they should. It would have been nice if it was as easy as switching cables..
