Re: Beolab 17 and non-BO TV
[quote user="BeoRTB"] Hello Scott, You should pick up a B&O Connection Hub (part number 1625026, MSRP $249, comes included with the BeoPlay S8 speaker package, but has many more uses than just that). You can use optical out of Panasonic plasma to the optical input of the connection hub, so your TV remote will control the volume of the BeoLab 17s. Then use PowerLink Cat-7 to go into your speakers (daisy chained or with a PowerLink splitter). The Connection hub also has a line input that

Beolab 17 and non-BO TV
Hello everyone. I have a pair of Beolab 17s. (My collection is slowly growing ) I would like to know how/if I can connect them to my non-B&O television. My television (Panasonic Plasma TH-42PZ800A) has optical out and monitor-out (RCA) connections. It seems to allow me to specify that it will output PCM rather than Dolby over the optical out and also the output level to some extent (0 to -12dB), at least in DVB mode. I'm not sure how that would change if I was watching a disc or AppleTV program

Twin Tuners in Australia?
Hello all. I wonder if anyone can clarify a couple of things for me? The specs on the B&O website for many of the current televisions say they include twin tuners and USB HDD recording but with an asterisk that indicates the feature is market/broadcaster dependent. Are these features present on Australian models? Does the dual tuner facility enable watch and record at the same time? Can you record onto any USB stick, or HDD or must it be one factory installed? Thanks for your consideration. Scott

Twonky Server Information
Hello all, and thank you to those who replied to my questions about my new BeoPlay A6. I would like to learn as much as possible about the Twonky Server but am having trouble finding any good resources. 1. Does anyone know of, or have any good information/resources/manuals/guides about the Twonky Server? I’m open to using other software for a DLNA server. 2. Does anyone have suggestions for a well documented and supported alternative product that runs on Mac OS X? What I would like to be able

BeoPlay A6
Hi there and thank you in advance. I've recently bought an A6. I love the sound, the design and the touch features. But I do have some questions about software... 1. Apps. The BeoSetup and BeoMusic Apps randomly have trouble finding the A6 on my WiFi network. I know the A6 is on the network because I can touch it and it starts streaming TuneIn and I can also send music to it via AirPlay. But sometimes I can't see it or control it with the BeoApps. Is this an issue others have experienced

BeoPlay A6 Questions
Hi there and thanks in advance. I've recently bought an A6 to replace an A8. I love the look and the sound and the touch functionality but I have several questions about the software! So… 1. Apps. The BeoSetup and BeoMusic apps (iOS) frequently can't see the A6 despite it clearly being connected to my WiFi (it can play tunein internet radio when I touch it and I can send AirPlay to it). This seems random. Is this an issue others have experienced? 2. Sources. In the BeoSetup app I can enable
