Re: Please help! beolab 18

Transmitter1 is basically the same price as a decent DAC anyway with less connections. Plus the wireless aspect is sort of overrated imho, they still need to be mains powered so running an extra wire is not that more of a hassle.
I'm surprised you say that. I find the wireless capability extremely useful if I want to change the position of the BL18s which I have done from time to time. I have power sockets all over the place

Re: Please help! beolab 18
I have actually a very similar set up as you, an LG OLED and a AppleTV. Not sure the exact model of TV you have but on my LG OLED the optical out does not have volume control - so everything outputted will be full volume! This is desired if connecting to a DAC or some other end device to control volume. It is possible to control the volume on AppleTV but there's chances it could be set to full, say via AirPlay moreover your other possible sources connected to the

Please help! beolab 18
Hi all. i know this information is here somewhere I just can't find it. My B&O addiction started with beolit 15 then A9 now I have finally pullled the trigger on beolab 18s. I got them on eBay so I really have no idea how to set them up/what is the best set up. I have an Apple TV (4th gen) running to my brand new LG tv. I'd like to run all my music/movies from Apple TV to speakers. Wired or wirelesss, whatever sounds best and I'd like to keep additional costs around 500 usd if that's

Does A9 turn off?
Finally got a A9 2nd gen, man is it loud. But does it turn off? When I press power button once the white light blinks next to button but the light next to Bluetooth button stays white and speaker stays on. When I hold down power button same thing happens. Only way to turn it off is to unplug. I'm obviously missing something? On my beolit 15 it makes a noise when it turns off and all lights go dark.

Dealer who ships to USA from Europe
Hey all, I am looking to get some Beolab 18's and with the strong US dollar right now financially it seems to make more sense to buy from europe and have them shipped to USA. A base pair of them is $6500 in US or would be $4200 if VAT is taken out coming from europe. Has anyone done this? Do you know of any dealers who ship to the US? thanks!

Re: Beoplay A9 Purchase help!
Great thanks for all the feedback. One more question, will it matter that it's a UK version with 220v if I'm using it in the USA? If I decide to buy the mark ii it's much cheaper from Europe but not sure if it will work in the US?

Re: Beoplay A9 Purchase help!
But does the "type 2945" mean anything, it seems like that's the type number for a 1st generation

Beoplay A9 Purchase help!
Hey everyone, so I really want to purchase an A9 2nd generation and found a used one. The guy says it is from the love affair collection and has the gold rim and everything. But that it's a 1st generation. I emailed bang and olufsen and they said the love affair collection was only made in 2nd generation. Was there another gold model that this could possibly be that is 1st generation? He sent me a photo of the back which doesn't have any Bluetooth markings and which says type number 2945
