  • Beolab 1 settings

hi all i have a pair of Beolab 1 speakers - the previous owner adjusted the low-mid-high pots on both units. Is there a way to get these back to factory spec? How do I do this and where do I begin? Any help appreciated. Thanks

  • Re: Beogram 6500 fuse constantly blowing

Hi gents, thanks for for the feedback. It turned out to be T4 and/or T5 - both BC337 type transistors on PCB1. Power was leaking back to motor during standby. All working 100% again. Thanks

  • Beogram 6500 fuse constantly blowing

Hi I've recently moved house - and my Beogram 6500 has blown two fuses. It was working when I moved in, but every night when I come home the turntable won't power up and fuse blown. The first time I replaced fuse it played fine all evening.. but then tonight I come home and the new fuse is gone. Is this a power / surge issue in my apartment block.. or something problematic with the electronics? any advice appreciated! steve

  • MMC cartridges

Hi everyone, I've got an MMC1 and an MMC4 cartridge - hope someone can help with two questions: 1) the volume of the MMC4 is louder than the MMC1 - is this normal or indicative of a problem with one of the cartridge. 2) the MMC1 sounds crystal clear, however the need guard does not move done far enough to cover/protect the needle. Is this normal or is there an issue? the mmc4 guard on the other hand covers the stylus. I'm using these cartridges on a Beogram 5005 and a Beogram 6500 Any feedback

  • RX2 and datalink

Hi although the RX2 has RCA cables... Does it have the circuitry to be controlled via Datalink like the other similar models that use a DIN plug? if so.. Is it easy enough to convert it to a Datalink-enabled DIN machine for use with a Beocenter 9500?

  • Re: Beolab speaker advice

Okay, guys - I did it. After much deliberation and consideration I decided to go for the Beolab 1s. Okay, so they're HUGE - I feel like I have two people constantly standing in our lounge against the wall! However that aside, I am BLOWN AWAY by these beauties. They have a bit of a boomy bottom end at high volumes, but I cannot believe the detail and sparkle that they carry.. Even at low volumes. And they CAN be turned up LOUD. Sure, a very FORWARD speaker... But damn they grab your attention
