• Re: Bang & Olufsen in 2018....

My forecast for B&O is not very positive. Their main play now is Beoplay and people like me have very little to no interest on that stuff. In the portable electronics, there are many more capable players (Walkman / Headphones etc.... I will later post a picture of my portable set up in the media section) and I do think Apple HomePod will blow away anything in the similar size range. On the big electronics, where B&O really shines, unfortunately the market may not be as large as B&O may

@Rafiki You may also use the following forum where many more people interact and hep out. They may be better than me in answering some technical question. http://forum.beoworld.org/forums/p/28501/231507.aspx#231507 Have a great Christmas and B&O hunting...

Folks, Adding a one month plus report on Loewe BILD 7 with BL 50. One area Loewe has impressed me is on the clarity of speech via the TV speaker (configured as center channel). Even though the speaker is rated 120W, it has all the guts to do a fantastic job as the center channel speaker and in combination with BL 50, it is just remarkably smooth and blends in very well with B&O sound. On the picture side, All OLEDS are fantastic and Loewe BILD 7 has a bit more than "standard" guts,

@Rafiki I would strongly suggest the Almando Multiplay Surround. It will give you all the options to set up the surround system as you want. You can choose to use the TV speaker as the center speaker and use the B&O as front and surround or use any external speaker as the center speaker and mix and match any B&O speakers for front and surround. Just take the sound out from Loewe (Loewe Digital Audio Link - Dal - RJ 45 connector) and plug it into the Almando Multiplay surround (RJ 45) and
I still love the brand, and just about to set off on my 3 hour round trip to open my store, expect there will be a massive queue of happy customers queuing to get in 😀
That I do wish you Nick. You are truly a gentleman and a great brand ambassador. Wish B&O corporate was run by people like you.
Discovered same problem like you with the HDMI-connections, as my LG UHD player does support Dolby Vision. My current work around is to manually connect either LG or Apple TV to HDMI
Hi Kiwi4all Since you do have 2 sources capable of Dolby Vision (LG UHD Player and Apple TV), the only work around will be to use a HDMI Switcher which can take in 2 UHD signals and then connect to Loewe HDMI 4. Before your post on HDMI 2.0 ports on Loewe, I had already found
Hi svinaik, According to Loewe they have on the current OLED sets 3 HDMI-connections with HDMI 2.0 (=UHD) and one with HDMI 2.0a. HDMI 1: 4K-capable, HDR, ARC-Function HDMI 2: 4K-capable, HDR HMDI 3: 4K-capable, no HDR HDMI 4: 4K-capable, HDR, Dolby Vision. (=HDMI 2.0a) So, UHD on all 4 ports, but Dolby-vision only on HDMI4. According to https://www.whathifi.com/sony/ubp-x800/review your Sony player does not support Dolby Vision, the Apple 4k TV does. So I guess

Folks, One more insight on the Loewe BILD UHD Connection. Loewe BILD has 4 HDMI connections but only 1 HDMI port (HDMI 4) will support the full HDR / Dolby Vision / UHD input. If you have more than one source equipment capable of UHD / HDR outputs (e.g. Apple TV 4H HDR + Sony UXB 800 or Oppo 203), you will have to find an external solution to get full advantage of the UHD resolution. I have just ordered an external HDMI UHD switcher to connect my source equipment (Apple TV 4K and Sony UXB 800) to
