• Re: Will HomePod 'kill' BeoPlay?

No direct comparison with B&O but just on standalone basis, HomePod is phenomenal. Received the HomePod today and have been listening for the past 2 hours. A real big sound in small package and lots of fun with Siri (though on the Apple Music quality) but I am not using this as a critical listening set up. Just a fun set up. Sound remains pretty good through out the room and Siri has amazingly fine listening. Good separation of vocals and instruments. Everything comes out clean and not mushed

Just remembered that you will need a Step Up transformer , not step down as you will be converting 110V to 220-240V :)
I'll be in the States for many many years - so this would be a longterm thing for sure. I shall look into Mikipedia's suggestion of getting new internal power supplies.
I would not suggest getting internal power supplies altered. Just use an external step down transformer. If you need a recommendation, please see the link below http://www.toddsystems.com/newindex.html Just make sure that you order high enough wattage. I am using 1000 VA to ensure

Step down transformer work flawlessly. I recently imported Loewe TV to USA and have been using it for the past 3 months. No issues at all.
People who find value in it will buy it, and those who don't won't.
Well, for record, I will be buying HomePod. Just looking at the tech speck , I think it will be a great little speakers and it may be best sounding in that price range. For real music listening, I only listen to real speakers (BL 5, BL 50) and the little speakers are just for fun and Siri integration. At $ 350 , HomePoD is cheap enough to be lots of fun and not expensive enough for a serious

@Paul.. I cannot speak to the BL 6000 or 8000 but just a suggestion, if you are buying a set of speakers, why not audition the Loewe KLANG speakers. I did listen to KLANG 5 and found them to be real nice speakers also. TO be on a full disclosure, I have the B&O BL 50 as the front speakers and use BILD7 TV speaker as the center speakers and I do not use anything for rear surround the as I am very short on space in my main room. In my setup. I found the Loewe TV (center speaker) blends very well
Bang & Olufsen and Lamborghini have teamed up in a roaring new collaboration to equip the brand new Lamborghini Urus with a powerful Bang & Olufsen Sound System
So now we have to buy a Lamborghini to get the true B&O sound.. Just kidding....
I think, the background noise is produced because I´ve put the powerlink cable + power cable into the same cable conduit. And for sure my wife will kill me if I seperate all cables and double the amout of cable conduits in the living room. All cable conduits are visable.
For this issue, I may have a suggestion. You can put the power cables in a conduit and then put that conduit along with the powerlink cables in another conduit. This way, you will
I suggest you contact Jeurgen at Almando for advice. Are you using suitably shielded cables? https://www.soundsheavenly.com/12-bang-olufsen
That is a very good point. There are so many inferior cables now a days that you have to specifically ask for a certain level of certification. I am using CAT 7 cables across the system and no issues with the noise or quality of sound. As Rafiki suggested, Steve is a very reliable and fair priced source for cables. If
Could you also please check your Loewe telly with almando box and BeoLab speakers if you have the same Background noise.
@Steffen, I have no background noise at all. Speakers are totally silence at 0 volume. Could it be coming in from your power lines as they are notorious for inducing noise in the system. AS the electronics in the new system are very sensitive, it could be a possibility. Try using a different power strip / distributor. If all fails, it
