• Re: Beogram 1600 speed problem

Could be an incorrect belt. I believe these have the pitch adjuster above the rocker switch. There are free phone apps that can be used for speed adjustment or get a strobe printout from vinylengine.

  • Re: MMC10E drag over slipmat

Biggest damage would’ve been tearing off the tip of the stylus if it sounds OK but hasn’t happened. But you shouldn’t be using a slip mat on that turntable it will change the angle of the tracking. Record goes right on the platter.

They are designed to not use one. Anything added under the your record on this table will decrease your stylus rake angle and will muddy your sound.

  • Re: Decorative Cassette Tapes for Beosound Overture or Century
Hey Everybody! This might be a strange question but it has been in the back of my mind recently. I don't really like the look of my Beosound Century without any cassette tape in it. I think it looks empty and weird. I imagine the Overture looks even worse without anything in the tape deck. Specifically wich type/brand/make of cassette do you think LOOKS best inside an open B&O tapedeck? I never really used cassette tapes, so I would have to buy one used.

  • Re: De-cluttering our B&O: Does it spark joy?

I have the opposite problem where some of these items cause joy and make me smile when I hold them but I don’t have the opportunity to use them. I use a Beomaster 8000 for my system and I only listen to music in one room but the Beotime magic flute makes me smile with the ridiculousness of it and it isn’t compatible with the 8000.
I, too, have a Bedtime that I don't use but that sparks joy to me! Perhaps if you're ever passing through Indianapolis, your BeoMaster 8000 might adopt my BeoCord 8000. P.S. I forgot to list in my "collecting dust" items my 2 BeoSystem 1 units. I definitely don't need to keep these. They NEVER sparked joy but just frustration. They won't fit in my Porsche to take them for proper disposal. Must I disguise myself to take them to the dumpster

  • Re: B&O 5500 CD replacement laser Philps CDM-4/13

Just replaced one of these famous 2103 caps today in CD 5500 that acted like it had a bad laser, back up and running in 15 minutes.

  • Re: Hey guys!
Could this be 2 systems?
Easily. As a question of what to do with it, try all of it and keep the system you like best for sound and looks and sell or loan out the rest of it. That is if all is working as it should. What excitement and fun! The combo of the Beosound 3000 with the BeoLab 8000 looks very impressive in a small place. The remotes will work with all of it.

  • Re: MMC1/MMC2 problem.

I have had him do a few carts for me. Good work and good communication.

  • Re: MMC1/MMC2 problem.

Nice. Did you end up getting your cart back from Joseph yet? I’be been communicating with him and have a basic MMC4 cart rebuild started with him. If he works out, I’ll be pretty excited. He is working to get his suspension rebuilds without need for cutting the cart open like the others do and he claims he can get the compliance the same as the original and not stiffer like the others do which require a higher VTF than original.
