• Re: Bang & Olufsen WISA stability

Hi all, just registered here and thought it was about time to start share stuff and participate in the discussions on this great forum. I can more or less confirm that the connectivity issues that is reported in this thread are all due to disturbances from wi-fi router communication. Probably from the 5ghz band which is quite close to the bandwidth that WISA is using. I experienced the same with my setup and the solution is very simple. Configure your router (both 2.4ghz and 5ghz) to a fixed channel
Thanks Lukas, I'm running Time Capsule, and have now changed to fixed channels. My AirPort Express is not in Network Mode. My only concern is my neighbors' network, as i can see through Wireless Diagnostics Scan several 5GHz and 2.4 GHz networks. I will try to see if this solves the problem.
No problem. Happy to help! I also have a lot of networks in my neighbourhood and for me it solved the problem perfectly. Hope it does for you as well!

  • Re: Wireless Beolabs not always activating

Hej! I did experience the same behaviour like you report. I also have a BV11 mk2 and use the internal wisa-module to communicate with my speakers. I Beolab 18 and Beolab 19 connected wireless to my TV, but the behaviour of the green/red leds and the sound issue was the same in my setup. After some trial and error trying many different things I came to the conclusion that the problem was inteference with my Wifi-router. Probably mostly the 5ghz band that communicate on frequencies quite close to WiSA

  • Re: Connecting Bang & Olufsen to a Sonos Connect

I tried the Sonos route and my intention was to combine a few Sonos speakers that I had (kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, dining room, etc) with the living room where I have BV 11 + Beolab 18/19. I connected the living room speakers through a Transmitter 1 and used opt-out from that device to the Sonos connect. BL 18/19 was connected via PL to the BV 11 and from Transmitter 1 they connected over Wisa to the BL18/19. The problem with this setup was however that it was not possible to utilize the 5.1 like

  • Re: Essence / Moment Behavior questions

If the V1 and the Essence are in the same network you can use the join function. Then the V1 isn't standalone anymore. The A.aux command on the BS5 won't start the Essence. You need to control it separately with the beoremote essence or the Beomusic app
Thanks. That is how I thought it would work and was hoping I could use the join function. Using the join function will it play

  • Re: Essence / Moment Behavior questions

Sorry if I was a bit unclear in the explanation of scenario 2 Your interpretation is incorrect. You can absolutely use different sources in different rooms without any problems. What I ment was that instead of utilizing the "join" feature on the Beoremote you could instead select a NL-Source on the BV-TV. When you add a Moment for example it adds upp a number of NL sources in the TV list of available sources. Eg -> Select "SOURCES" on the BV -> In the list new NL-sources

  • Re: Essence / Moment Behavior questions
What if: The Moment AND the Essence are both playing (in seperate rooms) and you want to listen to, what is playing from the Essence in the bedroom/V1/BL17? Which command would you use? The Moment (PatternPlay) - as you wrote - was connected and assigned to 'Music'. How are the sources of the Essence connected/assigned to the V1? I guess the 'Join' command would not do the job there.(?) MM
There are actually two scenarios to above 1. You

  • Re: Beovision 11 - Multiroom issues with Spotify connect and Tune-In using Beolink
Try: Set the Essence as integrated music system to your BV11. Then play Spotify connect through this connection.
Wow, thanks!! This solved it! I had no idea what this option did int he Beolink-menu. Makes sense now when having goten it to work. This also gave me the benefit that I can start the music stream from Spotify directly to the BV11 without linking via one of my M5 which I always did before. Really appreciated input and the great benefit of this great
