  • Beoplay App- does it work properly?

I have 4 Beolit 15's and a Beoplay A1 and use the app for all of them. If another Beolit 15 is within range of the one that I have turned on, the app turns on the other one, even though that isn't the one I want, and music starts playing through the other one. I have also noticed that the app has to restart every time I "wake up" the iPhone or iPad. The modification of the tone is essential to playing the Beolit 15's; they are extraordinarily bass-heavy without the app. Anyone

I have had the same experience with both the A1 and the Beolits. If I move the Beolits away from a wall, the bass becomes more manageable. I also do not play the A1 loudly enough to cause the bass to be an issue. The issue of starting the app and then causing another Beolit to turn on and paly music is none that I just cannot figure out. I have reinstalled the app and had no further success. I cannot imagine that B and O intended such a bass heavy tone; they have been known for crisp, clear highs

I think you are right. Sadly, the price point, size and compatibility were all great features. They just could not get it to work reliably over a period of time. The only success I've had with mine is that I literally plug it directly into the router so that the wireless defects don't interrupt the performance. The sound is really superior, especially to the Apple airport express. When it works, it's wonderful. The essence is so expensive that it isn't really the right alternative

I had the same experience with my PC and with my iPhone. There are occasional dropouts when I stream from my PC but none from my iPhone. I'm not sure why that is but I now make it a point to use the iPhone instead. Also, I can use Pandora with the iPhone but that won't work with the PC. The sound quality on Pandora is also when usually good, notwithstanding the fact that it is streaming at probably a lower bit rate.

The problem is the DAC converter in the airport express is just inferior, and by quite a bit. The sound quality with the playmaker is far superior, but it is intermittent and can be buggy. The essence and essence mark II seem to have solved that, but at a much higher price point. I have them both and like them both very much. Playmaker, though, takes time and energy to keep working properly. The sound quality of the playmaker so much better than the airport express that it brings out the beauty of

  • Re: Essence ou Playmaker ?

I have had the same question, and I own both the playmaker and the essence. The essence seems to be made a little bit better and the signal seems to be a little bit more reliable. I do not use the remote control of the essence; I find that the choices at the source are much broader and easier to navigate. I have had some problems with the playmaker in the past; the essence seems to send a stronger signal.

Do you want to sell it? If so, what do you want for it?
