  • Re: BeoSound Essence MKII - Bluetooth pairing to remote is lost

I have the same problem with A6 and Essence Remote "wheelie". Same fix, too; de-pair, power cycle the A6 and then re-pair. Really annoying. Google Cast also "falls off" for no apparent reason. When it works, it's great.

  • Re: Essence Wheelie Remotes

Thanks. It apparently only works for the Mark Two and I have a mark one. I think the newer products, like the a6, now allow that. My new A6 does, I wonder if there's some kind of software update. Probably not, in that I imagine the Mark one is no longer supported.

I have one of these, too. I cannot figure out how to set the tone for the Beale sound essence Mark one. I have a paired and the functions on the face of it worked fine. Does anyone have any insight into how to set the tone? The Beo set up app doesn't seem to have a choice for it.

  • Re: Beocenter 9000 compatible with Beosound Essence Mark I?

Thanks for this. Can I use the Beolink 1000 remote with the Essence as well?

  • Beocenter 9000 compatible with Beosound Essence Mark I?

I have a Beoenter 9000. I have had it from new and have had many good years with it. It is currently connected to a Playmaker. It took a long time to get the Playmaker to work properly but it does now. I can play music through my iPhone or iPad and it works with CX 100 speakers and a Cona subwoofer beautifully. I would like to substitute a Beosound Essence Mark I for the Playmaker as I think it is a more reliable and better product. Is the essence compatible in the same way the Playmaker was? I am

  • Re: BeoMaster 5000 Amplifier

Martin and elephants are correct; I owned all of these pieces and had a tangential arm Record player. I purchased the original 5000 receiver in 1980 and added the balance of the units over the next five years. They worked beautifully until 2013, when I donated all but the receiver in a graded it with a Beosound essence as I now use digital formats to play music. I actually regret letting go of the record player. The aesthetic and sound integration was unparalleled. The master control panel operated

  • Re: What (non-b&o) remotes are usable with the PLAYMAKER?

The Playmaker will give you a much richer, clearer sound, particularly in the higher frequencies. The DAC is superior and interfaces beautifully with the B and O speakers. I had the Airport Express and, while more stable, had clearly inferior sound quality. Playmaker needs a wired signal, though.

  • Re: Is it possible? Beolit 15 better for music than BeoLab 6000?

The truth is that everyone is now listening to music in a more personal way than they used to. People generally listened to music in the past in the living room with a large, powerful stereo system. Now, people listen with a small, independent system while they are doing work in a smaller space. It is a function of architecture, different social living habits and the fact that the designers have finally figured out that they need to cater to how people live. I do the same thing; the Beolit 15 is

  • Re: Multiple Aux Input to Beosound 9000

I agree that the Playmaker is a very versatile device. I have used it extensively alongside the airport express and the raw quality of the sound is so much higher in the Playmaker. The Playmaker will also respond to the 1000 remote and it seems to be much more sensitive to Bang and Olufsen equipment than the airport express is. The one big problem is that I think you really have to hardwire it. I experienced a lot of problems with it until I did so. I think it's received a bad reputation for

I have had the same experience with the playmaker; the sound quality is far, far better. It is a sensitive device, though, particularly if you have suffered a power outage. Once it is stable, though, particularly if it is hard wired, the sound quality is just wonderful.
