• Heard from B&o store.
indeed they have (Loewe that is).....and i think Sony too on their A1.....but B&O are more than likely using LG video processing......not saying thats a problem, but not sure if its as good as it could / should be.... anyway, suspect most people will really like the picture on the Eclipse......so nitpicking to a degree....
Bang& Olufsen are going to use there own video engine. They will not settle for less.
People who thinks that oled is a wonderfull upgrade compare to led tv, have certainly never had a full led panel like the bv 7 55 mk2. • Should I change my Beovision 7-55 mark2 to an Eclipse 55?

The 7-55 is to good tv to change if not need for bigger or 4k. Even the center whit bolab 10 is better. Because the voices is much neerer the center of picture than whit the eclipse. I’m suprised no one ever notised that. You can set the sound higt whit eclipse but it still not good enough. That was my no go. And the lack of 4k material from viasat parabol.

  • Re: Sound profile - a perspective on comparing Beolab 9 with Beolab 20
I’m surprised to read your review on the BL20 and your big disappointment with them. I don’t think they are bad. I like them, the sound is different than BL9 which I found to be too pushy on the higher notes. But I wouldn’t mind if the BL20 was possible to adjust like BL9 (technically) is. I think BL50 is a bit expensive. I don’t feel comfortable spending that much on speakers and I believe the design is a bit much. I chose between BL5 and BL20 and picked BL20 because

  • Re: Sound profile - a perspective on comparing Beolab 9 with Beolab 20

If you like beolab 9 don’t buy the beolab 20. You need the beolab 50. Or beolab 5 if you can’t afford it. The beolab 20 is a big disappointment. Yes the sound is tight but it sounds like the base comes from the room next door, or the neighbors. Not balanced at all. You have to crank it up real good before it sounds good at all. And it’s sounds like there is not enough power. I regret I sold my 9 until I managed to returned the 20 and bought the amazing 50. And yes the beolab 20 is different from

  • Beovision 7-40 or 55
Hi Esax, I think the article is referring to the later Mk 2 model as I owned the Mk 1 and it was not 3D capable and did not have local dimming zones, certainly not 512 zones that the later revised Mk 2 did. Either way, hopefully the OP will do their research before buying. Perhaps a dealer can verify some facts about the 2 variants. Cheers, Simon.
The article is from februari 2010 and is mk1. No 3D and 100MHz refresh rate. Got mine in december 2009,

  • Beovision 7-40 or 55
Hungedu is correct that the 7-40 Mk6 is a better tv than the 7-55 Mk1. Main differences between the 2 sets are 3D capability and full array backlight dimming vs edge lighting. The 7-55 Mk 2 would be a much better exchange and offer you picture quality better than many modern day sets, possibly including some OLED panels depending on contrast and brightness settings you like. Neither are 4K or HDR but then much televised content is still only 1080i/720p anyway

  • Re: BL50 review

I have nothing to compare with in this price range. But what impresses me most is the low precise base and sound pressure. But also the stereo image. And without the room breaking up the music. They also sound extremely nice on low volume. One thing you must do is using room correction and digital input. Yello has never sounded as good. Test the nervous from eye album and crank it up. First time a par of speakers put a smile on my face. I’m used to beolab 9 with beolab 2, it rocked the house. An
