  • Re: Beogram 8002 euro to us power

I am interested as to what exactly the adverse effects would be using a 50Hz PSU in a 60Hz country or vice versa. Both my 8000/8002 at 60Hz US run seemingly fine here in Japan (Tokyo) @ 50Hz (Osaka is 60Hz btw). I understand that there's a difference in rod thickness and extra dampening for vibration. I've checked a lot of old posts here and none seem to state exactly why it is necessary for the frequency to match given that the unit is quartz controlled.

  • Beogram 8002 dustcover pole protruding

Hi, I've noticed that the 'pole' that the dustcover hinges on works its way out after opening and closing the dustcover over time. I've tapped it back in but this is an ongoing thing. My 8000 doesn't do this. Is there a way to prevent this without dismantling the cover assembly? It sticks out a good half cm and who knows how far it would eventually travel out if I left it. Thanks

  • BEOMASTER TERMINAL (6000, 1980s) for Beogram operation

I've been using the Terminal more than I thought I would, having control over volume is very handy. I have my Beogram 8002 connected via DIN cable. What do the blue coloured keys do at the bottom of the remote? The cable I have doesn't allow me to access these key's functions. What cable do I need to do this? and could I use << and >> to toggle between tracks on a LP remotely? There's also STOP and RETURN, surely stop would return the arm anyway? Are these keys for dual

For me, I didn't get the sweetness for this one. I thought more like vinegar, but not unpleasant. I had snaffled a couple of Lindt Batons Kirsch which probably didn't help.

I think he's stated that :) [ Tonabnehmer Service (taking over the repair service from Schallplattennadeln) I recently used Franz-Josef's service for a MMC2. Had sapphire cantilever and contact diamond fitted. Sounds awesome and the work is very neat.

This one's a bit of an acquired taste. Belgian "Duchesse De Bourgogne". Looks flat but is quite bubbly, has rather a sour note. Took me by surprise but after a few sips...I've acquired it! Well, at least perhaps once a year anyway.

  • Contemporary/ w vintage B&O

I miss my old DAC power amp...I had it connected to my mac and my turntable. I could play vinyl (what I mostly listen to at home) and music files on the mac too. I wondered would a B&O Moment pair well with a Beogram 8002? And how would that all work if at all with Beovox 3000 flat speakers? I basically would like to ditch the notion of having a power amp in the loop. I love vinyl and the freedom of my digital files. I'm currently running the 8002 through a BM6000 but none is connected to

I've been fairly lucky so far in the tech stuff. My dachshund's more into socks, pants and shoes. He did nibble a lamp cable and let out a yelp a few months ago and hasn't touched a cable since. It was plugged in but not switched on, I guess he didn't like the sensation of soft chewy plastic giving way to a screeching metal core. My family had a cat for 20 years and we never had any issues with her except wallpaper. It's great to look at the few photos I took of her sleeping on
