  • Re: Beolab Volume control without amp

On a related note. Is it possible to connect a beolab or a transmitter 1 directly to a Sonos port og bluesound note?

  • Re: The LG 2019 OLED gets WiSA-based wireless Dolby Atmos audio.

I like this, I miss my beolabs. I had a pair of beolab 17 and a 19 sub. The Beovision Horizon was however horrible and after endless troubles I sold it and all my B&O. I will never ever buy another Beovision but an LG oled at LG prices with Beolabs could be nice.

  • Re: BeoLab 17 reviews wanted

Well I had a pair for a couple of years. I really like them, powerful sound with plenty of bass. I have also heard a system with an Avant tv and 4x beolab 17 and a beolab 19 sub. That is a stunning combo. Now if B&O had not completely lost my trust that would be the system I would like to have.

  • Re: I don't undestand B&O. My last experience for sure.

Hi, I have to agree. After living with the Beovision Horizon for over a year I gave up. I have now sold all B&O except for the old beocom 6000. After the endless problems with the tv and no help from B&O I dont think I will buy B&O again. I miss the beolab 17s but was to frustrated with B&O to keep them.

  • Re: Beolab 17 with the Sony Bravia A1E OLED TV

HI, i did use beolab 17 with a Sony tv (an older lcd model) it worked well. I used the wireless receiver but you have to add the ir receiver so that you can control the volume. The optical out from the tv is probably at a fixed level.

  • Re: Positive things about B&O right now..

I actually really like the new products. I think the Shape speakers are excelent. They look great and sound very good. I heard a combo with four speakers and to my ears it was at lesast as good as a pair of beolab 17s if not better. I also like the Beocision Eclipse. What keeps me from buying is the horrible user experience I have had with my Horizon. I am just not sure I want to buy from B&O again after all that trouble.

  • Re: Devialet vs Bang & Olufsen

Hi, I have heard the silver phantom and it is rather good. Dont like the looks though. Howevver I did also hear something my friend has and is called the Devialet ensamble (i think) system and it is a Devialet 120 amp and some speakers made by another France company. That system was truly fantastic. And now he is starting to use software from Roonlabs and that takes the user experience to a completely new level.

  • Re: BS1 vs M5 vs Sonos Play5 vs possibly A6 vs rivals..

HI, I have heard all of these speakers. I own the Beoplay A6 and like it a lot. The Naim mu-so might be a bit better but its more a matter of taste. For me the A6 works better as it can be wallmounted. I really like the BS1, but it is best in small rooms. For me the Sonos play 5 is better than the M5 but I have heard the M5 is getting better with software updates. As for the control apps I find that both Sonos and Naim are a lot better than B&O. But if you are a B&O fan like me you will get

  • Re: Time to upgrade?

I kind of think the audio side is still ok value. I really like my beolab 17s and the 19. The beovision Horizon has been very frustrating I like the design but it is jus so incredibly unreliable. If I could buy a B&O centerspeaker, with the sound engine and wisa, and could use that with any tv. That would be excelent for me.

  • Confession!

Yes it is happening, even with all the trouble it has had I am now really starting to enjoy the Beovision 48. It looks very nice, I like the wallmount and the sound with my beolabs 17 and 19 is really good. When I first got it and discovered all its bugs i decided not to buy any more B&O. Now I am thinking about another pair of beolab 17 as rears. And if they did come out with a Horizon 55 in. I would be tempted.
