  • Beocord 5500

I have a Beocord 5500 where one channel's output is very low. When it records both channels playback normally on another tape deck. Any suggestions on where I could start looking for issues on the main or sub boards? Cheers Chris

  • Beomaster 5500

Hi I recently acquired a Beomaster 5500 which is having both sound issues and remote issues. I managed to get it up running for a while, but eventually the music cuts out. I've got it going powering it off and on several times. I've also given the mute button a try several times too. I'm guessing it needs a new mute relay. Any suggestions on how to improve/repair the remote function? I need to have the remote virtually in front of the remote window on the Beomaster before it will respond

  • Beogram 5500

Hi. I have a coupIe of questions. 1 I want to do some work on my turntable's lid that has quite a few scratches. What's the best way to remove the lid? Try and undo screws on hinges or undo the back of turntable and go from there? 2 I've seen that some B & O turntables can be put into a service position. Is that possible with this turntable? Thanks for the advice. Chris

  • Beogram CD7000/Beomaster Remote Link Lost

Recently my Beogram CD7000 lost its remote operation with my Beomaster 6500. It plays normally when I manually select the CD on the Master Control Panel, but it won't switch the amplifier on and is not communicating or responding to my MCP 6500 or other remotes. My tape decks and record player are all working normally with the Beomaster. I tried a second Beogram CD7000 into the same CD input on the Beomaster with the same result. Could something be wrong with the CD din pin input on the Beomaster

  • Beogram 5005 Power Supply Mod

Hi. I've seen a few threads about modifying power transformers for different voltages and was hoping for a bit more information. I purchased a restored Beogram 5005 120v US model 5923 some time ago and was wondering if its possible to convert it to 240v? Is this something a local repair shop could do or does it require some specialised knowledge or parts? Alternatively, if I had the transformer removed can it be sent to someone to do this sort of modification?

Thanks Martin. It has been working fine to this point. Will check the cable out and see if that's the issue. If not a future job for repairer. Thanks for the advice. Cheers, Chris
