• Re: New B&O floor stand for Stage

ok it does not blow me out of the water but I doubt if any (fixed) stand can do that ;-). I like the fact that it is black and I think with a 48 inch screen the whole package would look very good as the stage is than nearly the same size of the tv, which looks better imo than with a 55 or a 65 inch panel.

yeah, that is what it says in the description; a shame anyway I am sure they can come up with some clever back reinforcement ..... or a handle to distribute force apparently this one can rotate: https://www.onlineplayshop.nl/lg-oled48cx6la-beosound-stage-vloerstand.html#picture-1

  • Re: Beolab5 and Sonos Connect
I am trying to connect our Beolab5 to our Sonos Connect (Not the amp version) but don’t know how to do it. I have a Beo4 remote so its ok I have to turn on the speakers using the remote. Should I use option 1 or 4? A: 1 if you do not have another (b&o) system in the same room 4 if you do (see manual) Can I take a COAX cable from the Sonos Connect to speaker A. A: yes and a COAX cable from speaker A to speaker B? A: yes And after that the Sync cable from speaker

  • Re: Sonos port to Beolab 5 auto trigger on

yes correct that is indeed possible i forgot about that; i would however not benefit from B&O’s loudness; but maybe for others that do not use loudness or think the sonos loudness is fine this is the. best set up. The Almando could also be an option indeed or Steve’s forthcoming (?) switch cable

  • Re: Sonos port to Beolab 5 auto trigger on

Hi Tom, I have experimented with two set ups: 1. Sonos Port to Beolab through digital out (Port) and digital in (Beolab 5). Added a sync cable so the volume of the Beolabs sync with one another if you use a Beoremote to control the volume. I did not use this because I set the volume in the Sonos app to variable so I could keep the volume of the Beolabs the same. This worked fine but I had to switch on and off the Beolabs with the beoremote (jn my case the Beoremote one). You have to set the Beolabs

  • Re: Thoughts on the B&O apps

Nice topic to do a thesis on! setup: Beosound Moment and Beoplay V1, not integrated). B&O app (ios version 3.3.1.......) "Music" / "Radio" Nowadays, the follows the same design idea as any music service app (I use Apple Music, Spotify, Deezer, Idagio), which is a good thing. As with website design, it is imo important that you immediately understand how you can navigate. Some websites look really great but are in some cases so different in its navigation that it becomes almost

  • Re: Beolab 5 reliability?
Some years ago I came across a technical article (that I can no longer find) claiming that the original BL5 microphone calibration had a notional life of about 200 uses, but that owners often liked to demonstrate the calibration to visitors to the extent that the mechanisms often suffered premature failure. Apparently B&O thought that calibration would only ever take place a handful of times. I have no idea whether this article was based on fact. Graham [/quote
