  • Re: Beoplay A?

actually, on second thought, they should keep the form factor of the S3 and just add multiroom functionality...

I would finally love to see an alternative to the Sonos Play 1 range: small with multiroom functionality. Something to place in 'less important' areas of the house, where sound quality isn't the main concern (hallways, guest bath etc.). I think the Beosound 1 is overkill for those areas (and difficult to place because of the form factor), the Beoplay A6 is way too big for that.

  • Re: Essence in combination with v1: wake-up function possible?

I just saw that you mentioned you used Beotool for the setup. It is possible though to just use the Beomusic app to setup the timer of the Essence, assuming that the Essence is connected directly and exclusively to the v1, right? I'll probably test out an Essence in the next few weeks and see how it works out.

Sounds like a good solution to me...or am I missing something? It would be of course an expensive upgrade to have a wake-up functionality on the v1. However, if I add an Essence exclusively to the v1, what would be the disadvantage (assuming that it works)? Would there be a time delay or any other technical issue?

  • Essence in combination with v1: wake-up function possible?

Hello, the way I see it, some of the newer B&O devices have received software updates, and some have finally a wake-up function (like for example the new Beosound 1). Now I am thinking: how can I use my v1 in the bedroom to wake up in the morning? It does not seem like the v1 will ever get a wake-up function. Does the Essence MK2 have a wake-up function? If so, would it be possible to connect the Essence with the v1, schedule a wake-up through the Beomusic app, and have the Essence automatically

maybe i got a faulty unit, but the wireless feature of the 7360 doesn't work well. I ordered a few Apple Airports, lets see how that works out...

Ok, I have the 7360, maybe it's time to upgrade. On the other hand, I'm thinking of adding a few Airports to the Time Capsule to have a better coverage in our appartment, since the time capsule so far is more reliable.

  • Which router to use? Very unstable internet connection...

Hi all, after extensively researching the possible problems of my B&O setup, I'm realizing, that one of the main issues is my wireless router. I am using a german brand called AVM Fritz Box 7360, which, according to german media, supposedly is the best router for private use. Also, I have attached an Apple time capsule to that router, so basically, I am using two wireless networks. All devices that are using the the Apple network, perform without any issues. The Fritzbox, which is the network

  • Re: So is this what B&O is all about?

The Beosystem 4 is in our living room, connected with a beamer. The BL 20 are running wireless through the transmitter. The BV11 and the v1 are in different rooms.

Thanks for your answers. I contacted support and they offered to speak with the dealership. However, I do think that's only the minor part of the problem. The products just don't work the way they are supposed to work. Multiroom is a bad joke, when compared to e.g. Sonos. When I opted for B&O, I wanted the combination of good multiroom functionality with high sound quality. At this point, I prefer easy und functioning multiroom over high sound quality, because I cannot care about sound
