  • Beovision 7 vs Modern Sony et al

Greetings all... I have a quick question for any Beovision users out there. I am looking to replace my current (old) television set, and I am stuck between the prospect of spending ~£600 on a new Sony / Panasonic 1080p TV, or the same amount of money of a second hand Beovision 7 (likely a Mk3 or 4). My question is this ... would we expect the picture quality to be better or worse on the older Beovision? The specs of the newer TV will obviously be better, contrast ratio higher and so on .. but

Its plugged into the Master socket. I have also checked the incoming wire polarity and voltage, which is a liitle low at 43V. But seems to be sufficiednt to power the Beocoms. Not sure .. maybe its a faulty unit?

  • Beotalk1200 and Beocom 6000

Hello all I have been using a pair of mk2 Beocom 6000's for several years, and have just purchased a Beotalk1200. The Beotalk seems to be working, but does not actually answer a call. It shows the incoming number, but does not cut in. I am guessing that I have some incorrect wires of something. I am using a standard fax/modem/phone cable from the 3 way splitter on the Beotalk, to a double telephone adaptor (BT style plugs) that I have added so that the Beocom's can remain connected. Any ideas

  • Beocenter 9000 CD skips - but only with certain discs?

Hello all... I wonder if anyone can help point me in the right direction. I have a circa 1989 Beocenter 9000. It is working great and still sounds perfect. However, there are a small selection of CDs that skip, not always in the same place, and with varying frequency. These skipping discs are not damaged at all, some are new, and all play ok in other machines. My question is twofold.... 1) Are there any typical causes for this? 2) I live in North East England, are there any reputable service agents
