Likewise, it definitely seems more responsive.

  • Re: Avant software update

For the sake of clarity, my ispeaker ssue isn't related to energy saving. They're wireless and as such this feature doesn't work anyway. My issue is that every 5 days or so (but some times a little longer) one of the speakers stop playing sound. 70% of the time this is the front left speaker, the rest of the time it's the left surround. Now I know it's not the speakers, as I've swapped the right surround with the front left, and still the front left stopped. I've also

  • Avant software update

Finally the update that's had much discussion has arrived. The notes state this provides HDMI 2 and HDCP 2.2 (for HDMI port 1). It also mentions numerous performance and bug fixes. How can we find out what these are? I'm more interested in the bug fixes, as I've had a couple of small issues which are slightly annoying but only happen every now and then. Such as one (or more) of my speakers occasionally cut out and needs restarting, this I know is an Avant issue, as I swapped the speakers

  • Re: Thoughts on the B&O apps

I'm an enterprise software lead, specifically working with SAP Retail in large retail organisations. Until two years ago, despite the fact that SAP was probably the most functionally rich product suite on the market, it was the most god awful product to work with from an end user perspective. SAP were very much a band of technical and functional specialists, providing excellent software but with absolutely no idea who was going to use it, why and how. There development process was very much inside

  • Re: BeoSound 5 Encore to BeoLab 5 Connection Help (Non B&O Amp)

Reading the comments above and with your current equipment it sounds like you need to compromise on convenience or quality, as it's clear it's not possible to do both without new toys. So with no new kit, the convenient thing would be encore to amp to speakers, but as you say may not give quite the same quality (although I'd be surprised if much different), or go the sound quality approach but means you have to switch it over each time. Get yourself an Avant! Sorted!!

  • Re: New Avant 55 and its integration.

Interesting. Can you access Deezer through other devices? Is it available in the US at all? I'm sure this must be a Deezer issue rather than B&O, as the Avant has the app available if the service is. When it does become available, I'm certain you'll like it, I now don't use spotify as I think Deezer is (slightly) better.

Hi, Deezer is already abailable on the Avant, I've been using it since install 6 weeks back. I wonder if it's a regional thing, what country are you in? D

  • Re: (humour) Jane Caro: Why do companies act like middle-aged divorced men?

Very funny and too true! If twenty-something's had bags of cash and knew of B&O I'm quite sure they'd all be buying, but they don't to either. I'm thirty, recently just kicked off my life with B&O, but have looked up to them for the best part of 15 years, since my dad brought his first B&O speakers. I'm very lucky, I have a great well paid job in IT, which has only recently got me to the point where I can drop £18k on AV equipment. This is a few and far between

  • Re: Adding a subwoofer to my set-up...

[quote user="paolomariano"][quote user="David King"] BL14 is nice looking and its a tad smaller. The BL19 is an amazing bit of kit though, the level of the bass can always be adjusted, if you want a high quality sound, which is responsive, and not "boom boom", then the 19 is the right choice. It's opposing drivers almost totally eliminate vibration and create a fantastic sound. I don't believe it's too powerful for you, my room is only slightly bigger maybe
