• Re: The New Avant! 55 Are You Happy with the way it Performs?

Coming from a BV7 MKIII to Avant 55" my self, is a huge leap forward - everything is way better than before! For my use of tv watching, iTunes movies in 1080p and Netflix 1080p looks crisp and sharp. Picture quality and black level etc. is a major kick from my old tv and the new BeoRemote One is a star born in your hand, trust me on that. The 3 "profile" for you choose what to do is very cool. Oh and "wake on LAN" with the Beo App gives you access to Avant as long you are

  • Re: Speaker group / stand choices

Okay, interesting thread and having an Avant myself I have this input: Why not make different groups/Names in the "stand" setting, not turning the tv BUT only choose a different sound setting and speaker choice? I think you can create 9 different setup or you could use the "my buttons" option. In my setup there is 4 different "stand" names, each with different stand and/or speaker setup along with "my buttons", where I choose between different stand position

  • Re: Defect Frame Converter module on Beovision Avant 55"

I'm not sure for what that module exactly does, but it's 100% automatic and with no setup options. The new module looked a little different from the one in my Avant, maybe they have changed someting (for the better, I hope) no ekstra adjustment was made to the set - it was just plug and play... The service guy didn't know anything more about it, he just got from Bang&Olufsen and sent to my doorstep for the work. Your very welcome.

  • Defect Frame Converter module on Beovision Avant 55"

Hello all you Beovision Avant 55" owners, Just want to share this with you guys. I got my tv around two months ago and was very happy with the whole setup, picture, sound and feel. But then completely out of the blue, came some problems with the picture, best described as vertical lines on the top and center of the screen like back in the VCR days where you must adjust the "tracking" to get the picture right. It was visible on all input sources like tv, Youtube & Apple tv, but

  • Re: Has the Pioneer Kuro 6090h the better Picture than a Beovision 9?

Good question - the Pioneer Kuro is perhaps one of the best plasma tv ever made and hard to beat in pure black level and contrast picture. However, the Beovision 7-55 has direct back LED and comes pretty close on Kuro in black level and is full HD. Im my opinion I think you should go with the 7-55. Have a nice day
BeoFantast Denmark@ Nice, and how did you fix it- can't zoom in the pictures? I'm so sorry I respond a little bit late. This is an enlarged photo. You can see what kind of materials I have used to fix the Beoremote One into the old BEO 4 holder. I hope it gives you inspiration to do the same. Success.
Geert, tanks a lot for this foto. I'll try to see what I can do.

Nice, and how did you fix it
If B&O itself doesn't produce a Remote One 'Wall holder', the client itself doesn't give up control. :800:0]
Nice, and how did you fix it - can't zoom in on the pictures?

  • Re: Flash your B&O - new thread!

Hi there, So got my new Avant at last, and replacing my "old" Beovision 7-40 MKIII. Bought a Beolab 2 at the same time and got all the cables fixed, a nice result if you ask me. In the back i've got 2 Beolab 6000, not connected yet, but that will soon happen. The Avant is a brilliant tv, with a superb picture and you just want to see all your movies again Must say this 4K display does a good job with upscaleing HD content from both iTunes and Netflix. My tv signal is almost all HD and
Hi all, Joining the club, here is my newly installed setup with a BV Avant 55, a pair of Beolab 18 (black) and one Beolab 19 (no rears at this stage). The Avant is connected to two sources (a set top box and an Oppo Blu-Ray player), also talking via wired ethernet to my NAS where all my music files are stored (FLAC). I still have to integrate the remotes of these 2 sources to the Beoremote One but beside this point the setup is working great.
Very good looking
