• Re: POLL : Buying New or Buying Used?

I think it is as well about the perception certain naming it is supposed to create with prospective buyer. For me „ex-Demo“ is something that has been used for a short period of time (say, one year), was lovingly taken care of by B&O experts, will be packed in full and complete and to me as a buyer would be the closest possible thing to buy a new product - possibly/likely coming with some remaining warranty. Hence, discount expectation is not huge as I factor in the peace of mind
I'd second that, only add that with B&O it's not only technologically it needs to make sense, but design wise. The reason I've been willing to pay a premium for B&O gear is that their designs not only integrated well with each other but were stunning pieces of modern design.
True, I took it as something that is - and specifically for B&O - the default state of things. Technologically I just need that it isn't inapropriately average

I would happily buy new (if I can afford and I believe it makes sense to me technologically). Otherwise, I‘ll continue to buy used. So far I was able to buy a barely used Moment @ 900EUR and a pair of lovely BL17s @ 800EUR. Great deals, and I never bought anything just to take commercial benefit out of the deal (resell it at higher price). Now looking for the great deal in Avant 55. If I fail, I‘ll (have to) go with series 8 LG B/C 55“, and at 1.299 EUR new incl. shipment on Amazon

  • Re: Has the Beosound 35 been discontinued?

Fair point. As much as MM‘s. :) Btw: I always liked the BS35 for its shape and the display built in.

  • Re: New video guide - setting up a B&O home cinema system on a budget
The question remains how many percent B&O does it take...
Around 54.8% according to my recent calculations. Kidding, of course, I believe it takes one pair of B&O speakers of any age, generic TV and a lack of serious funds to buy the Eclipse. Unless you think it is different from your „Under the Eye“ perspective? p.s. BIG thanks Steve for the thread!

Can‘t imagine how big a bathroom could be that it gets too big for the M5 (soundwise)? Easy placement and no stress.

  • Re: Official Dealers and selling on eBay...

Does not look to me as if much has happened (changed). Entry products still availabe for an online purchase, „real“ loudspeakers and TVs still not. Both on eBay and B&O website. I mean, there were already some resellers with solid offer in their webstores with complete portfolio - but that I merely see as an individual enterpreneurial effort rather than a „policy“. And btw, is this forum moderated at all or we are just going to call each other random names and patronize

  • Re: A pleasant pondering...

I believe I am in a similar situation like John, after moving to a new apartment. Currently improvising with a 1080p projector, and eagerly waiting for new B&O products in TV-related lineup. As tempted as I am sometimes to simply buy a Loewe TV, I still would really prefer to go B&O route - but the (potentially) indefinite waiting is killing me. :) If anyone in the know would kindly at least drop me a hint in a private message I would be very grateful. Alternatively: if I speak to a dealer

I know what you mean. :) Makes sense, of course. I would just hate giving my money elsewhere if I could have waited for few more months and buy B&O rather than a competitive brand. :/ And with no TV in the house my ability to wait indefinitely is understandably... ...limited. Sniff.

  • Re: Beosound Edge Needs Google Account…

Ok, so I went to B&O support page of Beosound 1 with Google Assistant built-in (this is obviously the same setup process as for the Edge and all others Google Assistant enabled products...) It says: The Bang & Olufsen app will send you off to the Google Home App to setup your speaker. Afterwards you will be brought back to the Bang & Olufsen App for the finishing touches. I think the case is as follows: for a vendor to be able to add Google Assistant functionalities to their speaker,
