• Re: Ridiculous price difference for a plastic piece of crap

Even in most harsh capitalism there is a thing called "fair trade practice". Overcharging an item is not that, and even with all relativization (supply/demand etc.) it is not giving me confidence in expecting fair treatment from such seller. Is it allowed by law? Sure, but that doesn't make it right. And I think this is all what thread owner wanted to say.

You are right. Mint condition is subject to everyone's individual interpretation. Let me be more specific: looking for a unit in a 9.5/10 state (10/10 being reserved for a new unit), like the one sold in the following thread which was btw my inspiration to try to find myself one like that: http://forum.beoworld.org/forums/p/8774/77114.aspx#77114

  • Beocenter 8500/9xxx wanted

Hello Forum fellows I was looking into some beautiful Beocenters 8500/9xxx sold via private sales here in the past, and I decided to search for one too. It's not that I need it really, but I love the design so much that I want it as an object of art too (apart from the obvious purpose). I would probably tend to invest around 200-300 EUR max for a really nice unit that was loved and in fully working mint condition. I know some Beocenters were more expensive than the others, so I don't expect

  • Re: The BeoSound Essence listed

Beosound Essence can manage streaming from iPhone, but not send signal wirelessly to new WISA speakers. Transmitter 1 can send signal wirelessly, but can't "receive" streaming from iPhone. Current lineup requires two separate products to support one of the most common ways to consume media. B&O really needs to rethink their Beosound strategy and lineup. The price is too high, and their brand image too exclusive and lux to fail so miserably on mainstream tech convenience.

  • Re: Beolab 17 or Beolab 3?

Had the opportunity to listen to BL 17, I am delighted and now I just need to "jump". Besides that, I've been told there is a 75" Beovision Avant planned to be announced in January (I take that would be CES in LV, right?) for the price of 13.900 EUR without stand. No 65" in product pipeline.
I mean, your username here is AnalogPlanet so it could be much more "Analog" as any of the Beolab speaker sets You would have 4 very good sounding (passive) speakers, one of the best sounding Beomaster and the beautifull Turntable BG4002 for the fraction of the price you have to pay the Labs....
As analog as my music history is, today's typical daily schedule brought me to mostly streaming from either my iPhone or iPad. All records gone

  • Re: BeoSound Moment

I do think so. I also went few times through your explanations to some discontent owners, and I believe you are right when you underline that this new concept also kind of pushes for a new consumption style. That's nothing intrinsically good or bad, just a fact. Still, more "traditional" (in a sense: music collectors, album-only listeners etc) users might feel frustrated by a level of randomness Moment and Essence promote. Which for me is exactly a benefit, because I have no time to

  • Re: BeoSound Moment

This is how I imagine the setup in my apartment: 1 Beosound Moment in living room 1 Beoplay A9 Mk2 in bedroom 1 Besound Essence Remote on the wall right at the apartment entrance 1 Beosound Essence Table Remote at the night desk in bedroom Plus: BeoMusic App to choose albums/playlists in more detail Coming home, opening door, getting in and pressing Essence Remote on the wall to start music. Then, if I am really in very particular mood, I can utilize either the Mood Wheel on Moment or Beosound app

  • Re: Great reviews from Sound & Vision

Hahaha, semantics aside, can anyone copy/paste here one single statement about how Beolab 17/18/19 sound to the author? No, I don't expect neccessarily detailed lab tests - but to write zero (0) words about at least subjective impression on how a loudspeaker sounds is just... ...beyond me. :) Clearly, this text is intended to only present B&O to readers who didn't know (or didn't care) about the brand and to create nominal awareness by re-telling B&O marketing story in an "article"

  • Re: Great reviews from Sound & Vision

Well the "review" - at least regarding the speakers - is not really a review. No comment on sound performance with different audio sources. No comparison (subjective at least) against other leading products in this price range. Looks more like an advertorial heavily based on tech facts anyone can read in a datasheet. Spending time explaining how Beolab 19 is a dodecahedron but no mention about audio performance neither in music nor home theater mode. Etc etc. Really lame.
