• Re: Beolit 15 unboxed

I'm sure the slight curve/bulge in the A2 is how it is meant to be. All those I have seen in store are the same and it improves the tactile quality of the piece. Enjoy it. I think it is quite possible to start looking for faults that aren't really there sometimes. I know I can sometimes do this. I intend to get one myself but just can't decide which colour.

  • Re: BeoSound Moment explained

Fascinating to hear the thought processes behind the Moment. Gives a whole new perspective. True it doesn't have the physical presence of a BS9000 but how could it? For me, my BL18's now have the real visual impact that my 9000 used to have. They get all the "wow" type comments when people come round. I can definitely see me getting a Moment when the software has settled down. But I would expect that to take at least six months from launch as I would for any new concept that is

  • Re: BeoSound Moment explained

It is pretty inevitable actually. When I upgraded my iPad os (last major release) it was buggy as hell. A couple of point-releases later and it's settled down fine. First-out release of windows 8 wasn't any better. Some say still isn't. There's a reason Microsoft are going straight to windows10 and missing out 9. All software has bugs and no amount of testing pre-release can truly simulate or replicate real world use by thousands or millions of people. You never really know how it

  • Re: Which have a more accurate sound if you discount the low end? BL3...

I had BL3s for a few few years until recently (I got BL18s a few months ago) and loved them. I mainly listen to indie/ alternative rock. I found that they had a very clear sound and lots of punch. Vocals very clear too because of the ALT. However, on the odd occasion that I listened to classical I didn't find them quite as good. Mid-range is not their strongest point although they are good speakers. For what it's worth the BL18s are awesome for classical and vocals that you mentioned.

I managed to find an early preview of the next "Designed by Beoworld" killer product. I was told the ALTs will be motorized and the system will be hand made in Denmark by experienced artesans and craftsmen. The price will be slightly above a similarly specified Sanyo. • Some good news

3rd quarter results look promising. Sales up 19%, 37% in the UK apparently (although clearly not in Bath): http://www.reuters.com/article/2015/04/16/us-bang-olufsen-results-idUSKBN0N70J920150416 http://www.retailgazette.co.uk/blog/2015/04/q3-sounds-good-for-bang-and-olufsen

  • Re: vinyl album sales up again

I think for some people vinyl is all about the experience. My nephew (who is 19) loves music. Mainly his listening is digital but he now has 30 or so vinyl records and is collecting more. The appeal of vinyl to him is that it is tactile and for much of what he listens to (Dylan, Hendrix, Bowie, Led Zep) he wants the same experience in listening to his music that the original audience for the album had when it was first released on vinyl. Same art work; same sound of needle hitting groove, having

  • Re: Flash your B&O - new thread!

Thanks Michael. You're right, the colour scheme is fab.I'm seriously thinking an a8 or Beolit 15 would look exceptional in these colours. And I've got to say the more I play with it the more I love the sound. It's a great toy that will travel with me.
I believe it is the last of the Love Affair products BeoNut since '75
Always thought the rose gold bl19 was absolutely necessary if you are buying a rose gold Bv11 and bl18s. I may be behind the times here but I hadn't realised there was a rose gold avant also

  • Re: Your current 2015 Hits and Flops.

Hit. For me personally the beolab18 with oak fronts. They sound fantastic and look stunning. And never cease to get admiring looks and comments. The walnut fronts are equally fab in my opinion but weren't available when I was buying. Special thanks to moxxey for turning my forum enquiry about BL3s into a BL18 purchase. Flop. Those damned DJ headphones.
