• Re: New LG Panels 2021 for Harmony, Eclipse and Contour
Replying to my own post! G1 77" finally turned up yesterday. The colours are better than the previous GX 65". UI is improved, too. Fits in the space a lot better than the 65". Note, this TV cabinet is temporary!
This looks spectacular, congrats!!! Makes me rethink again whether going with an harmony makes any sense. The G1 77 seems amazing. Let me dream a bit. If now only the stage could serve as center speaker to have bring beolab 18 or 50

Price-wise indeed on the very pricey side. It’s very good though and quite unique if you have a large local music collection. Nothing really beats it. If you’re happy with deezer or spotify, no need for roon.

My question remains whether mozart will eventually allow a surround setup without wisa. As of now, mozart allows stereo pairs, but there is more anticipated. A “state mk2” may be based on mozart. And mozart may allow the stage to be paired with other mozart speakers into a surround setup (incl bl28). But there is a lot of speculation in this message…

  • Re: Stereo pairing for Emerge now in B&O app!

Has anyone tried this out in the meantime and can share how the pairing works and how to “play to” the devices. I’m very keen to know where B&O is going with this. When i look what others do: 1) Apple: Allows stereo pairing of its homepods. Streaming protocol is embedded in all apps running on IOS 2) Google: Allows stereo pairing of its google speakers and chromecast enabled devices. Streaming protocol is embedded in most apps on IOS and Android 3) Sonos: Allows stereo and surround pairing of

Is this the long awaited new mozart feature? Any hope to see this on non-mozart speakers like the BS1 or is this a hardware limitation? Just stereo pairing or also surround pairing? Is the only way to play to the group through the b&o app (which makes sources very limited) or also via AP / CC? Possible to join the pair via “touch to join”? Or via an essence remote? Can the stage be paired as center for a 3.0, 3.1 or 5.1 setup? So many questions… This is really big news and a long awaited feature
Current Stage/Contour is not built on the Mozart platform. I doubt that that will take 18 months. Maybe when a Contour 55 will come - that would be perfect timing. MM There is a tv - and there is a BV.
I really hope B&O would release info about this feature. If mozart allows to be a surround processor (stage / contour / etc) and allow mozart speakers to be satellites, this would be quite a massive new feature. I’ll eventually buy a contour and a harmony
Hard to say how long you will have to wait - and honestly we have no precise information about what is going to happen or when. All I say is, that I see the options/possibilities with the Mozart platform. (Obviously I am a bit more optimistic than e.g. Sandyb). I am not sure, that you should wait with a purchase (depending on what you currently have). Maybe you should just enjoy a Contour as it is now - I am sure that you can sell that for a good price in a year
But with a Harmony and wisa beolabs you have the best setup imaginable, even when the Mozart platform proofs to do surround speakers with other single point speakers. You can stream everything to your Harmony. Personally I would always like to use a BV as main music / surround source to drive my BL’s. The way you can tweak al kinds of settings is unparalleled and I do not think this can be done with Mozart platform (or it should be for future beovisions driven by
Thanks, Curly. It's not really going to bother him. I was just slightly confused as some of the early reviews of the Lab 28s stated they could be connected to a Contour, which contradicted what I thought.
I’m still waiting for a definite reply for this from B&O. If the bl28 through mozart could turn the contour into a center+2 setup, i’d be game for contour plus bl28. Any hope this will eventually / potentially happen?
Got it - might work if the speakers have been setup as a pair in GH. Will depend on how Roon sees them in its UI. I don’t use GH myself so not something that I’d readily test
Just tested. Happy to confirm that you can use roon to play to a GH speaker pair. Actually quite cool to have two BS1 as a pair. And two M3.
