  • Beosound 5 working with Iomega StorCenter ix2-dl

Hello there. My question in order to know if anyone of you tried to use the Beosound 5 with a storage center connected with a Lan network. I tired and I am having a lot of problems; essentially: I provided to purchase a Iomega storage center (mod. ix2-dl), 'cause was the only one recommended by B&O to work with the Beosound 5. Once connected the device to the LAN network, where the Beosound 5 was already connected with the Beoconnect, we realized that the Beosound 5 (who was working correctly

  • problem with file index

Hello to everyone. I own a Beosound 5 / Beomaster 5 since a year. I have had a lot of problems while transferring all my CD collection in the HD of Beomaster (lots of records were not found, so i had to insert lots of data manually, the same for the covers, furthermore I have found and corrected lots of errors in titles, authors, etc. Once this hard work was over (I own more than 1,500 albums), I realized that the most part of the files stored in the Beomaster 5 were not indexed by the device, so

  • Possible improvement on Beosound 5

Hello there. I own a Beosound 5 / Beomaster 5 since a year. I think that for a high-class, expensive product like this, some details should be improved; any of these are as following: 1 - Swithchin' on the device, and selecting "net music" the music starts suddenly with the pre-defined volume. I think it would be more elegant if the sound would start very low, increasing little by little, until reaching the pre-defined volume. 2 - When you select "net music" directly on the

  • Beosound 5 CD ripper

When I purchased the device, decided to complete it with the cd ripper, no obstain the Beosound 5 looks better without it.... That's because I had so many CD's to rip (more than 2,000). utilizing this device through monts, I realized its poor quality, in details: 1 - to go faster, I started ripping the CD's using both the B&O CD ripper and my PC, using Windows Media Player; I inmediately noted that the PC was faster and more accurate: the time required by the CD ripper to rip a CD

  • Re: Beo6 2-way no longer working

Hello, I am happy to know you got to fix the problem. I just wanted to adk you that: As myself too own a beosound 5 / Beomaster5 and a remote Beo6, I would like to use the remote to command the Beosound 5 (with net music and net radio); you know that with the Beo4 is not good (you can not choose the song or the album, but just advance one by one. So I tried to set the Beo6, following the instructions found in the B&O Website, but it doesn't work. Did you set up the remote by yourself or the

  • Re: Beosound 5 CD ripper

Thanks, but I don't want to make more experiments. Now I have all my CD's collections stored into the Beomaster 5 (and a backup on an external HD). Now the work is over, but it was hard, and the B&O CD ripper surely did not help me with that. And to rip the CD's I will buy (until they will exist) I will use Windows Media Player. Salutes

  • Re: Beosound 5 CD ripper

Hello, what you said is so interesting.... Now I have my complete CD's collection stored into the Beomaster 5 (All in WMA format). When this format will be no longer supported, I hope to get to convert all the files in the new format with a simple software.... If I understood, I could convert all my files in FLAC format right now, isn't it? Thank you for your advice

  • Re: Ability to alter incorrect Artist name or add in missing information on beosound 5

Hello, me too experienced the same problem and I made a very hard work with that. What I can suggest you is to rip the CD's with a PC/Mac instead of B&O CD Ripper. I noted that the PC with Windows Media Player is more quick and accurate than B&O CD Ripper. Then, you have to correct manually all the errors, as I did.....

  • Re: Beosound 5 Album Artwork

Hello Tristanbailey87, I experienced the same problem, and much more..... First of all I wanted to ask you that: When I purchased the Beosound5/Beomaster5, I told to the dealer (an avaliable and competent person) that was my intention to use the Beosound 5 with a NAS - this due to the fact that I have a lot of records to store, and the 1 Tbites of capacity of the Beomaster 5 was not sufficient. He told me that B&O only recommend the Iomega NAS to work with Beosound 5, and that with all the other

Hello Beobuddy, regarding the files processing for MOTS I have a problem: this process in now over, but the most part of the files was not recognized and MOTS doesn't work with them. With the data stored in the Beomaster 5 there is no command to start a new process. What could I do?
