Not sure why would you need to connect a BLGW and add more complexity when the BS Core is your source controlled seamlessly via the B&O music app? As a B&O dealer we use either BeoAmp2 or BeoAmp16 for multiroom passive indoor and outdoor speakers all of the time. We rack mount and hideaway all of the hardware, it just works
You are correct. As more complexity as worse in the long run... It will be Cores together with an amplifier and control by the

Hi. Found an other amplifier that looks interesting. Dayton Audio DAX66 with matrix audio function. This one has 6 zones and is possible to control each zone with RS-232 commands. Do you think it will be possible to send custom strings from BLGW to it? Then maybe it maybe could be an ultimate amp to use for external speakers and ceiling speakers etc?

What I could see so far is that the Dayton amplifier is much more flexible regarding settings than the BeoAmp 16 and I really like the two RCA Bus connection that is has. The Dayton amp also seems to give more power than the BeoAmp where each channel of the BeoAmp only has 25w (400w/16) meanwhile the Dayton gives 65-89w per channel.
Just out of interest why would you not look at the BeoAmp 16 and use B&O amplification for the BS Cores? It works a treat and only takes up 1U in an AV rack. You can bridge multiple outputs to one BS Core as well. Here’s one on a rack below the Cores. Regards Stuart
Thanks for input. I could not see how to bridge the incoming RCA signal at the beoamp 16. Is it easy to do with a switch? Is there any installation manual out there? I cant find anyone..
It has an auto-on/off option too. MM There is a tv - and there is a BV.
Thanks for input MM. I believe that function will be enough. This amplifier looks promising. Hope that it is as good as it looks to be. The weight is almost 20kg so it must at least be something in it... Only need 6 Core now... I believe I will start with just 3 or 4 since it’s possible to feed the zones also from the two bus lines then I can use the same Core for several Zones and
The Powerlink connector delivers a 5V trigger signal. I have quickly read the manual and my only concern is that you can trigger the amplifier and not each speaker group.
Would it be possible to bundle up and connect the trigger signals from the different zones until the single trigger input. Meaning that if one zone or more is active it will start the amplifier. Maybe put diodes on each trigger cable to avoid short circuit?
