Hello Beoworlders,
I recently purchased online a second hand Beocenter sold as a 9000 model, my project is to replace the parts still available (thanks Beoparts).
The label states type 2501 and S/N 06286079, sw 2.3
I have doubts as the remote sensor window is large (like on Beocenter a 9500) and the CD drive is different from my 1987 Beocenter 9000 (the disk holder is similar but the service position is not as the service manual shows it, the label mentions CDM 4/24 AH E-43611).
I wonder if this set is a really a 9000, or another model’s components mounted in a 9000 body.
How to remove the doubt?
Thanks by advance for your help and best regards,
Yann.
23 July 2022 at 07:21 #36297It’s not uncommon to see different drives used during production, but this one
looks original for a Beocenter 9000.
Only Beocenter 9000 has the spring clamp. All the other Beocenters in this series have the
door-operated swinging clamp.Other minor differences can also be found, making collecting these interesting.

23 July 2022 at 09:17 #36298Thank you Martin.
The set was VERY dirty when it arrived with a lot of dust inside that I removed with a paining brush and the aluminium lids also need a deep cleaning.
What product can I use to do this?
Kind regards,
Yann.
