  • Beogram 8002 Pre Amp to run Beolab

Hi all, I am just wondering, can I use newer Active Loudspeakers on a Beogram 8002? If I buy a good modern pre amp, can I plug active speakers straight into the pre amp so I can enjoy the Beogram 8002 on the latest B&O active speakers? What would the sound comparison be of say a Beogram 8002 (mmc1...

  • RX2 cartridge question

I've been using my father's RX2 for about 4 years now with an SMMC4 cartridge from Soundsmith. It sounds really good, but have always felt it could be upgraded to gain a clearer top end and a bit more dimension to the sound. I recently came across a vintage MMC1 cart in good condition for a great...

  • Beogram Stylus Arm Height

Hi. I recently purchased a restored Beogram 5005 with a MMC4 cartridge. Everything has been going great and I am really pleased that I bought it. However, I am having issues with some of the new vinyl being released. Some are so thick that they make contact with the stylus in the raised position. Any...

  • Beogram 4500 turntable tonearm not moving

Decided to play a vinyl only to find the arm not responding to the operation buttons. Removing the platter i discover there is a white string with a small spring attached idlely laying amongst the other components. I am assuming this is why there is the lack of movement in the arm. Any advice as to how...

  • Which receiver?

I have a Beogram 1000 turntable and would like to pair it with one of the old beomaster receivers (preferably with a wooden cabinet, and a radio). I already have a Beomaster 900, but the setup doesn't work due to lack of preamplifier. Any ideas on which receiver (model) I should choose?

  • Beogram 5500 tone arm lowers too soon

Hello, De tone arm of my Beogram 5500 lowers too soon and the needle will not find a groove but slide back off the record. I did not have this problem before, it started suddenly. Does anybody have an idea what might be causing this. Maybe some sensor for the tone arm to know when to lower itself is...
