  • Static Noise in one speaker After 20 minutes

I have a Beosystem 2500. After sounding great for 15 or 20 minutes of radio or tape, noise that I would describe as static comes from the right channel speaker. You can still hear the music but also the static. I have switched left to right channels and the cables, but the problem stays with the right...

  • Beovox M150

Hi All, Looking for some advice on the best glue to use to reattach the coil on the mid range phase-link unit on my beovox M150, Not sure if the PVA used for refoam would be suitable was thinking more a 2 part epoxy or silicone. Any suggestions would be most welcome. Thanks Gareth

  • Beolab Penta MK1 6603- service

Hello, I recently purchased a pair of Beolab Penta MK1 6603s. One works great, but the amplifier on the second one becomes exceedingly hot when in use. After reading several other posts, the general consensus seems to be that the potentiometer needs to be replaced, along with replacing all of the caps...

  • Green led but no sound on Beolab 2500 speaker

Hi, I have 2 Beolab 2500 speakers connected to a Beocenter 2300, one of which is currently driving me mad. The problematic speaker shows a green led but is silent, while the other one is perfectly fine. I swapped the cables of the speakers, bought new cables (5 pins dins, not the original B&O ones...

  • Beolab Penta MK1 - Blow Out

Hi Just acquired a pair of Mk1s - One of the them had been battered in a move (few visible small dents in steel paneling) and the owner said the amp blew when he tried to use it (Using a BC9500. He said it smoked). Listened with a direct connection (bypassing the amp) and one of the woofers was distorting;...

  • Refoam the subwoofers of a Beolab 6000

After 23 years my Beolab 6000 speakers sounded distorted. I have placed a small video on Youtube showing my repair of the subwoofers.
