  • New (to me) Beovox M70's - Good and Bad News

Last weekend, I picked up a pair of Beovox M70's. First the good news; they are in fantastic shape, and included the original trumpet stands. The wood has very few scratches, the frets look decent - overall, they are in great shape for a pair of speakers that is over 35 years old. Now the bad news;...

  • S75, The worst crossover I've found

Hello everyone, I purchased a pair of S75's about six months ago and have more than happy with them. Upon further inspection however, I noticed that one of the midrange speakers was not working. Set up with a 5.1 system it was difficult to hear the absence unless you were close to the speaker so...

  • Re: Beovox Penta Restoration Project

Here are some XSim graphs. As noted above, the Y axis values have no absolute meaning and can only be used in relation to each other and only among the same type of PCB drivers (midranges or woofers or tweeter). Concerning the tweeters, does somebody here happen to know more about them, and/or what influence...

  • Beovox Penta Restoration Project

Hi all, Some pictures from my (unexpected) Beovox Penta restoration project: What they looked like when I got them. Well known problem, I think. For increased difficulty level, two of them midranges were completely shot (open voice coil). Purists and haters will hate, but I think those drivers work absolutely...

  • Re: Beovox Penta Restoration Project

Sorry the schematic in the photo above is somewhat unclear. First, I scribbled the original value if R1 on it, as actually found on my PCBs (I checked against different schematic versions). Second, I wrote some recommendations by DieBogener (I believe, IIRC - not sure). The new resistor values are finally...

  • Beovox 3700 type 6233 xover.

Hi there, I found a pair of beovox 3700 type 6233 at the garbage dump a while back. The woofer surroundings where eaten up by mould but otherwise the looked ok. So I ordered new surroundings and fixed the woofers. Then I tested them on the same crossover since the other one had a fried cap. Sound in...

  • Beovox S50

Hi all, Ive recently acquired a pair of S50's and can't really find much info on them other then that they were only produced for 1 year. Are they any good as far as a small 50watt speaker goes? Any info on the design, crossovers etc? Thanks
