  • Beloab 150 / Penta Upgrades

Hi all I've decided to carry out some work on my ageing Beloab 150 amps / Pentas. They were originally Beovox Penta Mk1's to which I later added Beloab 150's when they turned up. Anyway they have given good service over the years - and they are currently running cool. I feel though they are...

  • MCL2P issue - pop through the speakers on start and shut down

Hi all, I've a B&O MCL2P which works great but for one thing - on power up and shutdown it sends through an awful pop through the speakers. I've replaced every electrolytic cap that has a direct earth, including the larger 6800uF and 1000uF ones and it hasn't made the slightest bit of...

  • Boevox Panel 5000 Capacitors - Replacement

Hi everyone! So I just wondered what people might suggest to replace the capacitors on the Beovox 5000 Panel speakers? I have just dismantled one speaker to take a photo of the crossover which is enclosed (click on the image for the full view). As can be seen there are three film capacitors and two electrolytic...

  • Re: Beolab 8000 no sound

I guess if there is foam rot short circuiting the IC board and solder post deterioration, it is a matter of whether you want to drag one speaker at a time for repair, or get them both done and over with. I chose the latter, better to be safe than sorry and sitting and listening to your just fixed speaker...

  • First attempt at Beomaster 2400 'refurbishing'

Hello All, Starting my first real repair project on a Beomaster 2400 - no previous BeoFixing experience, but lots of electronic DIY. This model came from my Dad, which is why i said yes to try to fix it, besides always having wanted to having fixed a Beomaster by myself (counting on a little help from...
